Top 20 least influential men of 2012

Top 20 least influential men of 2012Even the rich, the famous, and those in power do not always manage to influence the course of events. For the participants of our today's Top, the year was clearly not good: some simply did not have enough luck, others tried to jump "above their heads", but still others just ended up at the wrong time and in the wrong place ...

The site of the men's magazine GQ published Top 20 least influential men of 2012, which brought together well-known politicians, businessmen, athletes, stars and public figures, whose undertakings and initiatives did not bring the expected result.

20. Dmitry Medvedev

GQ journalists recalled all of Medvedev's failed or stubbornly stalled initiatives: the cancellation of the transition to winter time, Skolkovo, public television, modernization.image

19. Ilya Varlamov and Maxim Katz

The young politicians themselves have already admitted that they do not influence anything. But they are active - they are listed in the opposition, they run for mayor, and they create a fund designed to improve Moscow.image

18. Konstantin Malofeev

The billionaire and largest shareholder of Rostelecom was removed from the elections to the Federation Council for bribery of voters. They were immediately charged with embezzling $ 200 million from VTB Bank and being taken into custody. The influence of the "father" of the registry of banned sites has really dropped significantly.image

17. Remnants of the protest movement

Mass demonstrations of dissent in May this year made a strong impression. However, by the end of 2012, only the Coordinating Council of the Opposition officially considers itself to be among these most dissenting people, which so far has little influence on anything.image

16.Igor Denisov

By his refusal to enter the field in the match with Wings of the Soviets, Igor tried to achieve an increase in his already rather big salary. As a result, the player lost the captain's armband and moved to Zenit's double.image

15. Anatoly Serdyukov

The dismissal of the ex-minister did not provoke an unambiguous reaction from everyone. It cannot be said that Serdyukov spent five and a half years at the helm of the security department unsuccessfully. But today the influence of the former “master of the red button” has dropped as never before.image

14. Mikhail Prokhorov

It was not worth a talented businessman to play the role of a politician. Votes for Prokhorov were cast by 5 million Russians, and in return they received a tiny political party that has not yet shown itself to be anything.image

13. Former Pussy Riot lawyers

Doubts about the defenders' ability to turn the tide of the hearings have been expressed for months. And the results of the process instantly “struck out” Mark Feigin and Nikolay Polozov from the Top-20 most influential lawyers in Russia.image

12. Vasily Yakemenko

The ex-head of Rosmolodezh announced the creation of a new Party of Power in the summer. By the end of the year, however, it became clear that words remained words. The only place where Yakemenko retained his influence is his own chain of cafes with the original name "Eat Pie".image

11.Sergey Bezrukov

It’s bad when an actor doesn’t act much. But when he does too much, it's even worse. The viewer does not want one actor to play everyone and everywhere. And the last film with Bezrukov "Match", probably for this reason, barely covered a quarter of the budget with fees.image

10. Vitaly Petrov

Putting hope in the hearts of fans in 2011, Vitaly took 10th place. But this year he changed the team to the Caterham F1 Team and did not score a single point for the entire season.image

9. "Phobos-Grunt" and the general director of "Roskosmos" Yuri Urlichich

The space station, which even could not complete its journey at the scheduled time and in the right place, became an illustration of the depressing state of the space industry. Plus the theft of 6.5 billion rubles in the development of the GLONASS system. Dismissal is a logical outcome for Urlichich's activities in 2012.image

8. Konstantin Gaidai

The designer became famous for his couture headwear collections. True, in 2012, Gaidai's taste and sense of proportion suddenly left, and a collection of hats was born, reminiscent of the details of the outfit of Indian leaders.image

7. Marat Gelman

The most famous gallery owner of Russia is literally driven from everywhere. Perm authorities cut funding, and Moscow landlords canceled all benefits. In this way, contemporary art was out of work.image

6. Aram Mnatsakanov

The author of the Russian version of Hell's Kitchen failed to impress Muscovites with his new restaurant - a branch of the Probka Family chain. Having promised to set new standards for everyone, from suppliers to decorators, Mnatsakanov disappointed even ordinary people with the banality and lack of any zest in the institution.image

5. Freelance journalists

Maxim Kovalsky, editor of Kommersant Vlast, publishes a photo of a ballot paper with curses addressed to Putin. Oleg Kashin is running for membership in the Opposition Coordination Council. And both end up fired for no other apparent reason.image

4. Alexander Tkachev

The inaction of the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory during the flood in Krymsk shocked the whole country. Although the governor knew in advance about the rampant elements. And in the fall, the whole world saw how smoothly and precisely the evacuation of 400,000 New Yorkers during Hurricane Sandy was organized by the Americans. That only underlines Tkachev's helplessness.image

3. Boris Berezovsky

The BB's ability to influence the course of events raises more and more questions. A loss in litigation with Roman Abramovich and unconvincing, but loud statements about the establishment of a radical "Resurrection Movement" provided Berezovsky a place in the top three leaders.image

2. Nikolay Timofeev

The ex-leader of the group "Disco Crash" left the team and is engaged in a solo project. Nobody expects sparkling performances either from the remnants of the group or from Timofeev himself anymore.image

1. Alexander Kerzhakov

Oleksandr got the lead in the Top of the Most Non-Influential Men thanks to his performance at Euro 2012. The presence of the striker on the field really did not affect anything: 12 shots on goal did not bring a single goal.image
