Rating of political parties in Russia

There was a time when there was only one political party in Russia, and only it had weight in the political space of the country. The question arises: how much has changed? On the one hand, United Russia, being the ruling party, has taken root in absolutely all state structures and in all spheres of society. But on the other hand, in the Russian Federation at the moment there are more than 70 political party formations, and some of them really make you reckon with.

The All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) conducted a public opinion poll in order to find out which party the Russians would vote for if the elections to the State Duma of Russia were held next Sunday. The survey involved 4,200 respondents from all regions of the country. The research results formed the basis for the distribution of places in today's ranking.

5. Non-parliamentary parties of Russia

Non-parliamentary parties of RussiaAlthough these parties are not represented in the federal parliament, they are expanding their influence more and more every year, gaining more and more followers among young people, and not only among this age group. Basically, these are opposition parties, which, in fact, explains the absence of their representatives in the RF Parliament. These include: "Patriots of Russia", who put traditions at the top of their values; "Communists of Russia" dreaming of reviving socialism; "Civil Platform", which aims to radically change the Russian economy and "correct" the image of the right; Rodina, which is a party focused on the national development of the country. Day is not enough to announce the entire list of non-parliamentary parties, so we will limit ourselves to the main ones listed above.

4. Fair Russia

Fair RussiaThe Social Democratic Party "Fair Russia" was formed in 2006 by uniting three parties. Its chairman is Sergei Mironov. Members of this party are often called "Socialist-Revolutionaries", although they have nothing to do with the pre-revolutionary "Socialist-Revolutionaries". Fair Russians are often confused with communists, which is quite understandable: their ideological views are largely similar, moreover, they cooperate with each other.

3. Communist Party

Communist PartyThe Communist Party of Russia is the direct successor of the CPSU. One difference is that the “new” communists are cooperating with the Russian Orthodox Church and are trying to prevent the development of any religious sects on the territory of the country. Also, the Communist Party is the second after United Russia party in terms of the number of supporters. Renewed socialism is its ideological foundation.

2. LDPR

Liberal Democratic PartyPerhaps one of the most popular parties in Russia with its equally popular and charismatic leader, Vladimir Zhirinovsky. The Liberal Democratic Party is classified as a "pseudo opposition" party, which means that it has many points of contact with the ideology of the ruling party, despite the fact that it positions itself as an ardent opponent of the Kremlin's official position.

1. United Russia

United RussiaAs mentioned earlier, United Russia is the largest and most influential party in the entire domestic political space. It is headed by Dmitry Medvedev and Vladimir Putin. It will be superfluous to say that it is this political entity that determines the main directions of state policy. Since 2003, United Russia members have formed a parliamentary majority. The main tenets of this party are centrism and conservatism.

From year to year, we observe the same picture: whether presidential elections, parliamentary or elections to the State Duma - the composition of the participants remains practically unchanged. United Russia, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party and the SR firmly take their places in our bulletins. But whether this composition will change, whether the opposition will be able to freely participate in the political life of the country is up to you to decide.
