Rating of the best cities in Russia 2014

Every year the Sekret Firmy publication evaluates Russian cities with a population of more than 100 thousand inhabitants, choosing the best ones. For the analysis, 13 criteria are used, among them - purchasing power, medical care, business development, per capita income, etc.

As a result, 149 megacities were ranked using Rosstat data and reports from city administrations. We bring to your attention the best cities of Russia 2014who topped the rating.

10. Tyumen

The population of this regional center is 634 thousand people. In last year's ranking, the city was in sixth position. The ecology of the region contributed to the deterioration of the position; experts also criticized the work of local authorities.

9. Obninsk

The recognized scientific center is included in the Top 10 best cities for the second year in a row. The population of Obninsk is only 106 thousand people, and each accounts for 27 thousand rubles from the budget revenues.

8. Yekaterinburg

The capital of the Urals is the largest city in the top ten. The population of Yekaterinburg is almost 1.4 million people. One resident accounts for 23.4 thousand rubles of the city's revenue side.

7. Podolsk

The city has significantly improved its position in the ranking. In 2013, Podolsk was ranked 18th. In terms of production, the city with an indicator of 202 thousand rubles per 1 inhabitant is second only to the leader of the rating - Kaliningrad.

6. Khimki

Last year Khimki occupied the second place, but the city slightly worsened its position. Nevertheless, Khimki is in the lead in the top ten in terms of municipal budget revenues per inhabitant (30.4 thousand rubles).

5. Irkutsk

The city rose to the fifth line from the twentieth place in a year. The population of Irkutsk is 606 thousand people. Over the past 12 months, the purchasing power of residents has increased sevenfold, while the number of residents has increased by 10 thousand.

4. Domodedovo

The smallest city entered the top ten, taking into account the inhabitants of the urban district - in total, it is 104 thousand people. Over the year, Domodedovo has risen from 32nd place to 4th, demonstrating growth in residents' incomes and economic development.

3. Belgorod

For the second year in a row, the city closes the top three of the best cities in Russia. The population of Belgorod is 373.5 thousand people. The regional center has a developed infrastructure, stable incomes and a high level of education of the population.

2. Krasnodar

The city has risen in the ranking by 2 positions. Krasnodar is the absolute leader in terms of housing construction. For one Krasnodar citizen, 1.9 sq. meters of area. The population of the Kuban capital is 784 thousand people.

1. Kaliningrad

The westernmost city of Russia tops the rating of the best for the second time in a row. Despite the fact that the unemployment rate in Kaliningrad is higher than the average Russian level, experts noted a convenient geographical location, special economic conditions, recreational resources and the availability of qualified personnel. The city is the absolute leader in terms of production volume per inhabitant.
