Rating of candidates for the presidency of Ukraine 2019

On the last day of March 2019, Ukraine will be shaken by the most important political event - the presidential elections will begin. Where the state ship will move, whether it turns its bow or stern toward Russia, will depend on one single person.

Present to your attention list of candidates for the presidency of Ukraine 2019, the rating of candidates is based on data from the 3 most authoritative sources:

  • data from the February poll of the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), which was attended by 2042 voters from all regions of Ukraine;
  • data from a February survey of the Social and Marketing Research Center "Sotsis" with the participation of 2,000 Ukrainians (except for residents of Donetsk and Lugansk regions);
  • data from the February survey of Blue Dawn Monitoring (BDM) with the participation of 2,074 respondents (except for those who live in the Donbas).

As additional data, we provide 3 more sources:

  • the February survey of the Institute of Social Technology “Sociopolis” (SP);
  • sociological research of the public organization "Advanced Legal Initiatives" (PIP), interviewed 46,227 people;
  • sociological service "Razumkov Center" (CR), 2016 respondents were interviewed.

For obvious reasons, the survey of Crimean residents was also not conducted.

10. Shevchenko Alexander

Shevchenko Oleksandr, rating of the candidate for the presidency of Ukraine

  • KIIS: 1.1%;
  • Socis: 4.1%
  • Blue Dawn: 4.8%.

Oleksandr Shevchenko, a nominee from the UKROP party, opens the top 10 positions in the rating of presidential candidates in Ukraine. This is not an association of gardeners and gardeners, the name of the party is an abbreviation for the Ukrainian Association of Patriots.

UKROP sees its main goal as the fight against corruption. In addition to fighting for the presidency, Shevchenko pursues other goals - he is looking for a new wife. Anyone wishing to make a potential president happy can fill out a questionnaire on the candidate's official website. However, judging by opinion polls, both male and female Ukrainians are not impressed by this candidate.

9. Muraev Evgeniy

Muraev Evgeniy, candidate rating

  • KIIS: 1.2%.
  • Socis: 1.6%.
  • Blue Dawn Monitoring: 4.5%.

One of the rare Ukrainian politicians who negatively assesses the influence of Washington and the IMF on the economic situation in the country. He even used such a harsh word as "genocide".

However, it is difficult to call it pro-Russian either, since Yevgeny believes that the guarantee of Ukraine's prosperity can only be a non-aligned status.

8. Vilkul Alexander

Vilkul Alexander, candidate rating

  • KIIS: 3.1%.
  • Socis: 1.3%.
  • Blue Dawn Monitoring: 5.7%.

Another independent candidate speaks on behalf of the Peace and Development Party. He believes that the situation in Ukraine can be improved by adopting a new constitution and ensuring economic growth.

Vilkul has a wealth of managerial experience in his treasury; in Viktor Yanukovych's team, he held the post of Deputy Prime Minister. Unlike most candidates for the presidency of Ukraine, he is ready to conduct a dialogue with Russia, and not categorically consider it an aggressor country.

7. Sadovy Andrey

Sadovy Andrey, candidate rating

  • KIIS: 2.4%.
  • Socis: 3.2%.
  • Blue Dawn Monitoring: 3.9%.

The mayor of Lviv, who loves to show his attitude to the protests of citizens by showing his middle finger, takes a place in the ratings closer to the end. The maximum number of those wishing to vote for him does not exceed 3.9%.

Sadovy takes a pro-Western position, and believes that the guarantee of Ukraine's national stability is close cooperation with NATO and the deployment of contract troops and military equipment on the border with Russia.

6. Lyashko Oleg

Lyashko Oleg, candidate rating

  • KIIS: 6.3%.
  • Socis: 5.5%.
  • Blue Dawn Monitoring: 8.6%.

And now let's move on to more serious candidates, who do not have enough popularity stars from the sky, but are steadily staying in the second three, right behind the leading players on the political scene. The first of them is Oleg Lyashko, who, according to various versions, received from 4.8 to 8.6% of the respondents' votes. He is the head of a radical party named after himself (Oleg Lyashko's Radical Party) and likes to behave provocatively. For this, some even call him "Ukrainian Zhirinovsky."

He hopes to enter the political Olympus by playing the card of overcoming poverty. The politician promises to cut taxes and magically create a middle class in Ukraine.

5. Gritsenko Anatoly

Gritsenko Anatoly, candidate rating

  • KIIS: 6.4%.
  • Socis: 6.6%.
  • Blue Dawn Monitoring: 7.16%.

This man is no stranger to the election race. He has already nominated himself three times, and all three times he did not achieve what he wanted.

The fourth time, too, is unlikely to be magical, judging by the ratings. Gritsenko hopes to increase his chances by teaming up with the seventh place in the rating, Andrei Sadov, but he does not want to merge in political embrace so far.

4. Boyko Yuri

Boyko Yuri, candidate rating

  • KIIS: 10.9%.
  • Socis: 11.5%.
  • Blue Dawn Monitoring: 6.4%.

This candidate has a long political career behind him. He managed to visit both the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, and already three times - the Minister of Energy. Boyko is an old school politician representing the post-Soviet oil and gas elite of the country with all its advantages and disadvantages, including a pro-Russian position.

He hopes to achieve peace in Donbass, reduce military spending in the budget, and give the freed up money to social needs. Also, the politician plans to prevent the increase in gas prices, as the IMF wishes.

3. Tymoshenko Yulia

Tymoshenko Yulia, candidate rating

  • KIIS: 13.8%.
  • Socis: 15.9%.
  • Blue Dawn Monitoring: 17.8%.

In third place (and according to Blue Dawn - in second) is the owner of a memorable hairstyle, Yulia Tymoshenko. Currently, she sharply criticizes the current government, and a few hours ago even initiated the impeachment of Poroshenko as a traitor to the ideals of a free Ukraine. People close to the president were in charge of the smuggling of spare parts for the Ukrainian army. And they sold them at exorbitant prices (the markup reached 300%).

Both Poroshenko and Tymoshenko go almost head to head, and the difference between them is about 5%. But at the same time, serious passions are raging, and the political struggle between the second and third places in the rating of candidates for the presidency of Ukraine in 2019 is acquiring an increasingly colorful shade.

2. Poroshenko Petro

Poroshenko Petro, presidential candidate of Ukraine

  • KIIS: 18%.
  • Socis: 20.3%.
  • Blue Dawn Monitoring: 12%.

Most polls give the current head of the country Petro Poroshenko the second place in the ratings of candidates for the presidency of Ukraine in 2019. There are many reasons for Poroshenko's decline in popularity, but most of all his rating goes down when the hryvnia becomes cheaper and gas becomes more expensive. It is during such months (for example, last fall) that Poroshenko heads the "anti-rating".

In addition to the heavily thinned wallet of ordinary Ukrainians, the offshore story (when several companies were opened under his name in the tax-free zone), as well as the New Year scandal, when journalists found out exactly how much the presidential ten-day vacation in the Maldives cost Ukraine ...

Not to mention the fact that Poroshenko did not fulfill most of his election promises, for example, to sell the Roshen business empire and to end the ATO in Donbas in a short time.

1. Zelensky Vladimir

Zelensky Vladimir is the leader of the presidential race

  • KIIS: 26.4%.
  • Socis: 23.8%.
  • Blue Dawn Monitoring: 20%.

All ratings and polls of Ukrainians agree on one thing - the undisputed leader of the presidential race is Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the head of Studio Kvartal 95. The differences are only in the percentage by which the current favorite is ahead of the second candidate (be it Poroshenko or Tymoshenko).

It seems that the laurels of Ronald Reagan, the first president-actor on the world stage, haunt Zelensky. Exactly a couple of minutes before the strike of the clock marking the border between the past year and the current year, the showman announced his political ambitions on television. And the Servant of the People party, from which Vladimir was nominated, decided to turn the election race into a real political show, broadcast through social networks and its own video blog.

Interestingly, the name of the party completely coincides with the satirical series on the topic of elections, which was filmed (and played the main role in it) by Zelensky.
