The Moscow International Motor Show (MIAS) cannot be called a cult event for the world community. However, this is an interesting and important event for Russian motorists. This year, the exhibition will be held from 29 to 31 August at Crocus Expo, about a dozen car manufacturers, including foreign ones, will take part in it. This is not a lot, but the quality of the exhibits takes priority over their quantity.

20. Hyundai Santa Fe
Even the minimum equipment of this crossover includes all the necessary systems for a comfortable ride, including dual-zone climate control and cruise control, rear parking sensors and an intelligent all-wheel drive control system HTRAC. There is even a full-size spare tire.
Under the hood of the car is a 2.4-liter gasoline engine (188 hp), combined with a six-speed automatic transmission. For diesel fans, there is a model with a 2.2-liter 200 hp diesel engine. and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
19. Lada Vesta Sport
The flagship of the "okay" lineup will not differ in appearance and interior from its prototype two years ago. The front arches are widened to accommodate 17-inch wheels, while the bumpers contain a forked exhaust, diffuser and false air ducts. An important design element of the eco-leather interior is the red Alcantara inserts. They give the car an aggressive yet stylish look.
1.8-liter engine with 145 hp. can accelerate a car to a top speed of 198 km / h. A five-speed manual transmission acts as a faithful "partner" of the motor.
18. Hyundai Tucson
The changes to this crossover are mostly cosmetic. It received a new front bumper, a massive grille and full LED headlights. The multimedia system screen is removed from the central panel and hangs over the torpedo. Wheels for Hyundai Tucson can be 17-, 18- or 19-inch. The design of the dashboard and ventilation deflectors has been improved.
17. Lada Iksrei Cross
For two years now, the cross-version of the Lada XRAY hatchback has the status of a concept. It's time to present it as a serial version.
Due to the plastic body kit, the dimensions of the car increased: the length increased by 6 mm (up to 4171 mm), and the width - by 46 mm (up to 1810 mm). Thanks to the increased ground clearance and roof rails, the height has also changed - by 75 mm (up to 1645 mm).
Now it will be possible to install 215/50 R17 tires on Ixrei Cross, while the current generation of the hatchback can only boast of the 205/50 R17 dimension.
16. Geely SX11
The Chinese automaker will present its Geely SX11 crossover in Russia. This is the firstborn of Geely Automobile, based on the latest BMA platform, created by the company's specialists.
The power frame of the SUV was developed taking into account the achievement of a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating... Seventy percent of the SX11's bodywork is made from high-strength steel and twenty percent is made from hot-formed high quality steel.
The price of the car will be about a million rubles.
15. Geely Borui GE
Borui 2015 models are known to Russian car owners under the name Emgrand GT.
The GE hybrid sedan is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine from the Volvo XC40 with 156 hp.Previously, Geely used technical gadgets from this Swedish company only for the Lynk & Co brand.
On electricity alone, the Borui GE hybrid can travel up to 60 kilometers, and the average fuel consumption is about 1.5 l / 100 km. Just a godsend, given the constant rise in fuel prices.
14. UAZ Patriot
UAZ continues to improve one of the most popular cars with manual transmission in Russia... Among the best novelties of the MIAS-2018 will be presented an SUV with a powerful (150 hp) ZMZ Pro engine, a modified front suspension and improved steering. These changes have reduced the turning radius by 0.8 meters.
13. Volkswagen Polo Joy
They love German cars in Russia, and the Polo is one of the most popular models. Now she has a special version called Joy. It is advisable to purchase it as soon as possible, because only 50 thousand copies will go on sale. The most important changes to the Joy are related to additional equipment and exterior improvements.
The top-of-the-line Polo Joy will come with a 7-band dual-clutch robotic transmission. The rest of the models will have to be content with a 5-speed manual transmission (in the 1.6-liter version of the engine) and a 6-speed manual transmission or "automatic" (in the 1.4-liter version).
12. Renault Arkana
If the majority of automakers will present updated models at the Moscow Motor Show, then French Renault will present a completely new model - the luxurious Arkana coupe-crossover. It is based on the Global Access platform and is larger than both Kaptur and Duster.
Russia will be the first country to start selling Renault Arkana. Other countries will follow, including the huge Chinese market.
11. Renault Logan Stepway
Another novelty of the 2018 Moscow Motor Show from the French automaker. This off-road sedan will be the first of the Logan family to have a CVT. The Logan Stepway will differ from the usual sedan with an increased ground clearance of 195 mm and additional protection on the lower part of the body.
10. Volkswagen I.D
This electric sedan with a folding steering wheel is still a concept, but the manufacturer is going to launch it in the series in 2019. It is based on the MEB electromobile platform and has an autonomous control system. The battery with a capacity of 111 kW / h provides a range of 665 km without recharging. Two electric motors on each axle of the sedan give a total power of 306 hp.
9. Haval F7
The Chinese company Haval, a subsidiary of Great Wall, will bring the premiere, the F7 crossover, to MIAS 2018. And only there its characteristics will become finally clear. Some sources claim that the car is 4910 mm long, and its wheelbase is 2850 mm. Others claim that these figures are incorrect and the correct ones are 4620 mm and 2725 mm respectively.
It's nice that Haval has entrusted the assembly of new crossovers with a Russian specialist. For this, a plant was built in the Tula region, and the first cars will roll off the assembly line next year.
8. Hyundai IONIQ
Another electric car, but not from a German, but from a Korean company. It was already shown in Russia in 2018, at the INNOPROM exhibition in Yekaterinburg. And now Muscovites can also watch it.
The buyer will be able to choose an electric car with one of three power units - Hybrid, Plug-In Hybrid and Electric. But at the Moscow Motor Show you can only admire the model with Electric.
The Hyundai IONIQ has received a five-star EURO NCAP rating as well as a Red Dot Award for its sleek design. The manufacturer gives an eight-year warranty on the battery of this car.
7. Lifan
Perhaps this is the most popular Chinese car brand in Russia. And he will bring three brand new cars to Crocus Expo at once - the 820EV electric car, the M7 minivan and the seven-seater X80 crossover. It is known that the crossover will definitely be supplied to Russia. But how things will be with the first two is still unknown.
6. KIA Stinger
Debut at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show the most anticipated car of 2018 KIA Stinger equipped with a choice of 2.0 T-GDI or 3.3-liter biturbo V6 engine. The power of the base version is reduced to 247 hp. to reduce the transport tax. It is capable of accelerating to one hundred kilometers per hour in just 6 seconds.
The more powerful version has 370 hp under the hood. and accelerates to a hundred in just 4.9 seconds.
5. KIA Sorento Prime
Fundamental changes in this crossover should not be expected. However, the work on it was quite serious. Have been updated:

- daytime running lights were integrated into the LED optics;
- roof spoiler upgraded;
- exhaust pipes were doubled;
- more stylish bumpers appeared;
- added red brake calipers;
- the size of tires is from 17 to 19 inches.
4. KIA Picanto X-Line
And another novelty that KIA boasts at the Moscow Motor Show is the updated Picanto X-Line hatchback. It is equipped with a three-cylinder 1-liter petrol "heart" with a capacity of 100 hp. This is the most powerful engine for the small KIA Picanto. In 10.1 seconds, the car accelerates to the "sotochka", and on the way consumes 4.5 liters for every hundred kilometers.
3. Lada Granta
The presentation of Lada Grant took place on the eve of Crocus Expo 2018, so no sensations can be expected. But walking around and looking at this beauty in four body types will be interesting.
The new Granta family has been redesigned for the rear lights, trunk and interior so that the X-style is immediately visible. The engine volume remained the same - 1.6 liters, but its power is different (87, 98 and 106 hp). There are three gearboxes to choose from - manual transmission, automatic transmission and "robot".
2. JAC Motors
One of the leaders of the Chinese automotive industry will bring two new items to the Moscow Motor Show. One of them is the JAC S3 SUV, with a 1.6-liter engine and 118 hp. Already in the basic configuration, it has air conditioning, heated mirrors and the most modern security systems.
And the second is another JAC S5 crossover, with a two-liter 134 hp engine and a five-speed manual transmission. In the basic version, it has the same as its counterpart, plus the MP5.
1. Aurus Senat
The stand of the Russian brand Aurus (also known as the Cortege project) will surely attract increased public attention. After all, he produces cars intended for the top officials of the state. But not every luxurious "facade" hides powerful armor, the Aurus also has an ordinary civilian luxury transport. This is exactly what will be shown among the best models of MIAS-2018. The Senat sedan cannot boast of armor, but it has a Russian-made leather interior decorated with precious wood. Aurus Senat sales are due to begin in 2019. If all goes according to plan, a VIP SUV and a minivan will join the sedan.
And attention, on the automotive field, replacement The Uzbek company Ravon refused to participate in the Moscow Motor Show, but it doesn't matter. It was replaced by an Iranian automaker that sold Samand cars in Russia. It is not yet known what new items the Iranians will show.
