10 best beaches in Ukraine, rating of 2019

The political situation introduces unnecessary complications in the movement of citizens from Russia to Ukraine and back. For example, Russians in embroidered shirts will need a passport to visit their neighbors, and men between the ages of 16 and 60 will not be allowed on the doorstep at all. But if you want to spend time pleasantly and inexpensively in a women's company or to relax with children, Ukraine is a good option, attractive with relatively low prices plus a wide range of opportunities.

In Ukraine, there are still old Soviet sanatoriums and rest houses, the private sector is widely developed, and also representatives of a world-famous hotel chain have recently appeared. In total, there are already 14 beaches in Ukraine that have been awarded the "Blue Flag" - completely safe and very comfortable. We will tell you about the best of them in the current rating of Ukrainian beaches in 2019.

10. "Peschanka", Peschaniy village, Mariupol

Mariupol Municipal Beach is a newcomer among the holders of the highest mark of honor, which can only be awarded to a beach ("Blue Flag"). Such an award is not only an indicator of the purest sand and clear water, it is also a sign that the beach has all the amenities necessary for vacationers. Every day the sand is cleaned and sifted, garbage is removed, special people monitor the quality of the water.

There is also a rescue tower on the beach, from which specially trained personnel look around the surroundings vigilantly. And vacationers do not come to the beach with their own rugs, but can take off both sun loungers and sun umbrellas for a reasonable price.

9. "Galerny", Kiev

Surprisingly, Kiev, a gigantic metropolis with a population of almost three million people, not counting a large number of tourists, is at the same time the proud owner of several beaches awarded the "Blue Flag". Kievans can only be envied, because after work they can stretch out on the purest sand, and then plunge into the blue waters of the Dnieper.

And one of the best places for recreation in Ukraine is the Galerny beach. Although it is located right within the city, namely in the Goloseevsky district, it is a quiet, calm place that is perfect for those wishing to relax and unwind the townspeople.

And if you think that a beach vacation in the capital of Ukraine can be combined with sightseeing (and there are a lot of them in the "mother of Russian cities" for more than a thousand years of existence), you just want to rush there right now. Or at least in the summer.

8. "Youth", Kiev

This beach fully lives up to its name. It has long been chosen by young residents of Kiev for joint swimming and beach recreation. Fortunately, the entrance to the beach is absolutely free. Although the "youth" infrastructure, frankly, leaves much to be desired, but the energy of youth and fun reigning around us makes you forget about minor flaws.

This beach is considered by the people of Kiev as a place of acquaintances, so if you have not yet found your other half, perhaps you should look there. Alas, the popularity of the place turns into an abundance of garbage, traditional for a large crowd of people. However, it is quickly removed.

7. "Children's", Kiev

If "Molodezhny" is focused on the younger generation, then "Children's", fully consistent with its name, is focused on families with children. Moreover, people without children are not allowed to enter!

"Detsky" is rightfully considered one of the cleanest Ukrainian beaches, and a team of rescuers monitors the safety of little vacationers. The entrance to the water is shallow, the shallow water lasts a long time, so even toddlers can safely splash around for pleasure. And when a child in lifeguards and a circle is basking in the water, parents can calmly read in the shade of an umbrella. Both the one and the other and the third on the beach can be rented.

6. "Golden", Kiev

The main feature of the beach is calmness and silence, as if there is no multimillion-dollar, never-silent metropolis nearby. The reason lies in the good location of the beach, which takes a long time to get to; first take the metro, then walk for a long time to Predmostostaya Slobodka, and then take a half-kilometer journey up to the bridge.

"Golden" is perfect for hermits in the shower who like to bask in warm water, enjoying the silence and loneliness reigning around. According to tourists, the places there are extremely beautiful.

5. "Dachnik", village Gribovka, Odessa region

Like "Golden", "Dachnik" is located far from the city bustle. This beach is well equipped, there are even showers, which is still a rarity in the post-Soviet space. Not to mention the umbrellas, awnings and sun loungers.

Odessa region is the leader in terms of the number of "Blue Flags" per unit of territory. The inhabitants of the region are so reverent about their status as owners of the best beaches in Ukraine that some even manually sift the sand at the border between the land and the sea! And their efforts pay off when tourists flock to the "blue-water" beaches.

4. Caleton, Odessa

The beach with a foreign name is located on French Boulevard, just not on the street itself, but on the slope overlooking the sea next to it. It seems that the beach has inherited from France not only the name, but also a truly Mediterranean spirit. In terms of comfort and level of infrastructure, it significantly stands out among the other best beaches in Ukraine in 2019.

There are quite enough sun loungers for all vacationers (there are three hundred of them), and if you want more comfort, you can rent a beach bed. And for family holidays, you can put up a real big tent, as in Arab legends.

Bars and cafes are scattered around the beach, where, in addition to traditional Soviet-Ukrainian cuisine, you can taste Asian exoticism or enjoy classic Mediterranean cuisine.

3. Black Sea city beach, Chernomorsk city, Odessa region

The city beach of Chornomorsk is a veteran in terms of the number of "Blue Flags". Since 2011, he has been awarded this highest mark of honor every year. In addition to the excellent quality of sand and water, the beach has a well-developed infrastructure. There are even facilities for people with disabilities: part of the beach is equipped with special ramps to make it easier for them to get to and from the water.

2. "Lanzheron", Odessa

A very popular vacation spot for both Odessa residents and tourists. The entrance to it is completely free (which only contributes to its popularity), but you will have to pay a couple of hryvnias for a sunbed and a canopy.

There are many restaurants, cafes and bars around the beach, so vacationers will not have to suffer from hunger. And children will certainly be interested in the local dolphinarium, which is considered one of the best in Europe.

And although in the reviews people complain about rather high prices, they note that Langeron is very comfortable and clean.

1. Black Sea Riviera, Fontanka village, Odessa region

The first place in the top 10 of the cleanest and most comfortable beaches in Ukraine is received by the "Black Sea Riviera". For all its merits, this beach also has free entrance, therefore, despite its rather long length (195 m), it can be crowded in summer.

Taking a sun lounger and saturating your body with plenty of vitamin D, you can have a snack in a cafe nearby, raise your blood alcohol level at a local bar, and if you feel bad, get help at a medical center located on the beach.

In addition, you can combine business with pleasure and get a portion of relaxing massage and spa treatments in the beach "relaxation zone".
