Every week, manufacturers of high-tech products surprise and delight us with new products. Keeping track of the announcements of all devices and programs is not easy, and choosing the really worthy ones is even more difficult.
In our today Top 5 technological innovations of the week presents the most interesting from the world of technology according to the portal bigmir.net. A tablet, headphones, a huge TV, operating systems and even a flying bicycle were presented by the developers to the public by the end of June this year.
5. Microsoft Surface Tablet
positioned as a competitor to Apple's iPad. According to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, Surface is the first of a whole family of tablets to see the light of day in the near future. Two versions of the technological novelty were shown at the presentation. The former runs Windows RT, weighs about 680 g and is 9.3 mm thick. Notable is the best WiFi support available on the tablet market - the 2 × 2 MIMO antenna. A removable 3mm Touch Cover keyboard can be attached to the tablet using special magnets. The second version is larger than its counterpart - 910 g with a thickness of about 14 mm. This modification will work under Windows 8 Pro. If the younger version has 32 or 64 GB of internal memory, then the older one already offers 128 GB. The start of sales will have to wait for several weeks - it is scheduled for the fall. Moreover, the younger model will start selling 3 months earlier than the older one.
4.Sharp's 90-inch Aquos LED TV
has the largest diagonal in the world. The novelty has a height of 120 cm, with a thickness of 12.7 cm. The weight of the device is 63.5 kg. Such a TV certainly cannot be called portable, but the experts highly appreciated the image quality. The Full HD display has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and is energy efficient with a power consumption of only 75W. A pair of glasses is supplied with the TV for watching 3D movies. The declared cost of the technological masterpiece is $ 11,000. It is likely that it will be successful as an advertising medium or mini-cinema and take a place in the top best TVs of the year.
3. FBike Flying Bike
- a technological breakthrough announced by Czech engineers. Six rotors powered by electric motors turn an ordinary bike ride into an exciting flight. So far, this is only a concept, but the production of the first prototype is scheduled for August this year. The principle of movement on the ground is no different from the familiar to all of us. However, when you press the switch, the FBike soars into the air with the passenger. True, it will not be possible to take off effectively during the movement - lifting is possible only from a static state. The stable position of the FBike in flight will be monitored using position sensors, gyroscopes and accelerometers. It is unlikely that this vehicle will ever go into mass production, but the enthusiasm of the Czech "Kulibins" deserves a place in our today's Top 5.
2. Operating system Windows Phone 8,
announced last week, is intended to reassure users that Microsoft has fixed all the technological flaws based on the experience of using Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 7.5. Smartphones running previous versions of the OS are not sold very actively. The novelty will go into series on devices from Samsung, HTC, Huawei and Nokia. Users should appreciate the new screen resolutions - 1280 × 720 and 1280 × 768, support for multi-core processors and micro-SD cards, an updated interface and IE10 browser. Windows Phone 8 is probably the most anticipated new addition to our Top 5.
1. Fanny Wang 3003 Noise-Canceling Headphones
- a salvation for those who are trying to enjoy their favorite music or movie in a noisy room. Designer David Adam assures that no extraneous sound will penetrate the “extraneous sound cancellation” system. Each ear cup has two microphones - outside and inside. The built-in electronics analyzes the information from the microphones and then modulates the sound to maximize the protection of the listener from external noise. The manufacturer guarantees that 95% of extraneous sounds are cut off. Like all previous models from Fanny Wang, the novelty of the week fits perfectly, does not put pressure on either the ears or the top of the head. And the material is so durable that the earbuds can be extended almost completely without the slightest damage. Professionals argue that the noise cancellation system nevertheless brings some artificiality to the sound, but for those who often go to noisy places it is just a godsend. By the way, the suppression of extraneous sounds can be turned off by simply turning the lever.
