The experts of the Rating Information Center, the BCGroup agency and the Otdykh v Rossii magazine have calculated how and with what they lure tourists. IN rating of Russian travel brands 2017 included more than a thousand regional brands, of which they selected the 100 best and ranked them in the list according to the degree of popularity and recognition among the respondents. The brands were very diverse - from natural wonders, historical and architectural monuments to special dishes or local products.
10. Sochi
The list of tourist attractions is opened not by a single curiosity, but by the whole city - Sochi. The wonderful climate, the Black Sea coast (albeit somewhat dirty, judging by the regular environmental problems there), wonderful subtropical forests and, of course, the title of the capital of the Olympic Games - all this regularly attracts many tourists to the city. Total visit resorts of Sochi would like 75% of respondents.
9. VDNKh
The first, but not the only sight of Moscow, which is included in the top 50 largest exhibition objects in the world. Since 1939, VDNKh has been one of the favorite places to visit for Muscovites and visitors. 8. Red Square
For foreigners, when the word "Russia" first of all pops up in memory the most famous Red Square... True, it seems that it does not cause such reverence among Russians themselves - only 73% of those surveyed would like to visit it.
7. Tula gingerbread
The only food product in the ranking is the Tula gingerbread, which since 1954 (the year of the resumption of industrial production of gingerbread according to pre-revolutionary recipes) has been the city's hallmark. A whole museum is dedicated to gingerbread in Tula, and 80% of the respondents would try it.
6. Isaac's Cathedral
The largest church in St. Petersburg, St. Isaac's Cathedral, is an architectural monument of the 19th century and one of the main attractions of the northern capital.
