On February 19, 2017, Reddit user Loulan presented a map showing which countries are considered the main threat to peace on Earth... The map was compiled based on the results of a survey conducted in 2013 by the WIN / Gallup International consortium, which brings together many companies that conduct independent market research and opinion polls. In every country in the world, in person, by phone or online, a thousand people were asked the question: "Which country do you consider the greatest threat to peace?" In total, the study took four months - from September to December 2013.
According to the survey, most countries in the world are afraid of the USA... The most fearful of America are in Russia (54% of respondents), China (49%) and Bosnia (49%). Even Australia, which seems to share language and basic values with America, even considers the United States a threat to peace and prosperity. Some Western European countries such as Finland, Germany, Iceland and Sweden also support her opinion. In total, 24% of all respondents voted against America.
This number seems especially high compared to the next global threat - Pakistan, which is feared by 8% of respondents and is considered one of the the most aggressive countries... China is next (6%), which is most feared by Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. North Korea, Israel and Iran gained 5% each, and the greatest fear of the latter is experienced in the United States, Canada and England.
As a rule, fears are fueled by neighborhood proximity. So India is afraid of Pakistan, South Korea - North, Poland - Russia, and Kenya regards the nearby unstable Somalia as a threat to peace on earth. Or the religious-territorial factor plays a role. This is how Israel is feared in Morocco, Tunisia and Iraq, which borders Israel. The political situation is also important - this is how France considers Syria to be the number one threat. However, sometimes the choice of the main villain looks strange, for example, Bangladesh chose Israel, and Italy - Afghanistan (Afghanistan itself is afraid of neighboring Pakistan).
The low opinion of the world about America was influenced by the events of 2013, especially the bombing of Syria, the reaction to the events in Ukraine and the Middle East. America continues to act in accordance with the Clinton doctrine, according to which the United States has the right to use its troops wherever it sees fit, regardless of possible damage to other countries.
It is interesting, however, how much the fear map would have changed if the survey had been conducted based on the results of the past 2016. There were many interesting or scary events: US elections and Donald Trump's victory, the annexation of Crimea, the civil war in Ukraine, the nuclear agreement with Iran and the invasion of migrants to European countries. So far, as one of the Reddit moderators writes, it is encouraging that users discuss the map with light humor and do not enter into conflicts over the difference in political views.
The most dangerous state in the world is China. Look what's going on. They filled the whole world with their goods. Economically dumping any commodity, they are like bedbugs, seeping into any country. Clothing is a complete threat to health - allergies, dermatological diseases, and if you want - cancer. Chinese cars - falling apart on the move - a threat to lose control at any time.Food - it's scary to think what they add to fertilizers, and besides, they are grown in their special laboratories. Airplanes - I think it will be safer to walk soon. This is what to be afraid of. And the worst thing is that our businessmen, basically, buy raw materials in the same place, in China .. All just for the sake of one thing - to save money.
In my opinion, this market should be studied very seriously and, if possible, isolated.
