Whatever happens in the country and the world, people need to eat and drink every day. Including experts from Roskachestvo, who have compiled a list of the best and worst product categories in terms of safety and quality. And we present it to your attention and tell you what was so dangerous found in low-quality goods.
How was testing
Test results for all food and beverage categories were summarized.
In each category, the number of products with zero rating was taken into account, as well as products that earned a high score - 4.5 and higher.
Then the experts calculated the percentage of the safest and highest quality products from the total number of tested brands (TM). The higher this percentage was, the higher the safety of the category.
The same rule applied to hazardous product categories. The higher the percentage of low-quality products, the worse the category.
The final rating includes representatives from categories in which there are at least 17 brands. If a category included not only products with the Quality Mark, but also more than three TMs, whose rating was reset to zero, it was excluded from the list of safe categories.

Found in the most dangerous foods from different categories
- Cognac is a clear sign of counterfeiting. This means that many of the samples that have undergone rigorous selection at the Raskarstvo laboratory were made from non-grape alcohol.
We can say that the category "cognac" was not at all lucky. None of its representatives managed to earn the Quality Mark, and 16 brands had their ratings zeroed altogether. - It turned out that such popular products as beer and tomato juice can lead to poisoning. In low-quality products from these categories, experts identified flavoring components and harmful microorganisms. In addition, Roskachestvo had questions about the quality of water purification in these drinks.
- In the category of "dairy products", the most dangerous in terms of quality are cottage cheese and butter with 82.5% fat content. Most often, such an uninvited guest as E. coli, as well as vegetable fats and antibiotics, are found in dairy products.
- Other uninvited guests settled in low-quality cereals - beetles, both living and already dead, dangerous chemicals (pesticides) and admixtures of metals with magnetic properties.
- In salmon caviar, the worst representative of the “fish and seafood” category, there is often Escherichia coli, also known as Escherichia coli. Four times, experts from Roskachestvo have found staphylococcus bacteria in the samples tested, which can cause purulent infections of various organs and tissues, as well as other pathogens.
- According to the results of a study of dangerous and safe food products conducted by Roskachestvo in 2020, it turned out that there is pork shashlik, dumplings and Domashny minced meat - Russian roulette. Dangerous meat products contain antibiotics, Escherichia coli and many harmful microorganisms.
- And even such, it would seem, the safest drying and food salt from the “grocery” category can pose a threat to health. They may contain Escherichia coli, a mycotoxin called Ochratoxin A and the causative agent of potato disease.
