Unlike the older version, the model without the Pro console has a smaller battery capacity, a slightly smaller screen size, and has 128 GB of flash memory instead of 256 GB. At the same time, the price is significantly lower, but the chipset is the same for both versions.
Users praise the Huawei P40 for its excellent rear camera, which delivers excellent brightness and detail even in the dark.

One of the most powerful smartphones of 2020, in addition to its excellent filling, has another interesting feature.
He said goodbye to Google Play, instead of him, users will be offered a branded store Huawei AppGallery. It may not be to everyone's liking, but AppGallery is evolving rapidly and should soon include all the popular smartphone apps.
Responsible for performance is the top-end HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G processor paired with a Mali-G76 MP16 video processor and 8 GB of RAM. Whatever you are going to run on the Huawei P40 Pro, the smartphone can handle it.
pros: IP68 waterproof, contactless payments, wireless charging.
Minuses: no audio jack for headphones.
6. Honor 30 Pro
- smartphone with Android 10
- support for two SIM-cards
- screen 6.57 ″, resolution 2340 × 1080

- memory 256 GB, memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC
- RAM 8 GB
- battery 4000 mAh
The heart of this smartphone, which scored 421,840 points in the Master Lu test, is the HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G. It is the latest Huawei mobile processor, providing full access to 5G connectivity.
It is also known about the new product that its capacious battery has a fast charging function with a capacity of 40 W, and a fingerprint scanner is integrated into the OLED screen of the "waterfall" type. The amount of RAM it has is 8 GB, but the amount of flash memory varies from 128 to 256 GB.
And now the cherry on the cake (or a fly in the ointment - who will appreciate how). This smartphone does not work with Google services. It has its own app store from Huawei.
pros: you can make contactless payments, there is a liquid cooling system.
Minuses: no waterproof, no wireless charging like Honor 30 Pro +, no 3.5mm audio jack.
5. Honor 30 Pro +

- Memory: 256 GB, nano memory card slot
- Hardware: 8 cores, 2.86 GHz, 8 GB RAM
- Battery: 4000mAh
Honor 30 Pro + is the only smartphone in the top five in terms of performance, which is built on a different platform than the rest. It runs on the Kirin 990 5G chipset and has a Mali-G76 MP16 graphics accelerator. The memory speed (from 8 GB of RAM) is impressive - 29,000 MB / s, and the speed of the built-in one (from 256 GB) is 1000/380 MB / s.
To prevent the powerful processor from heating up, a liquid cooling system is built into the smartphone.
The capabilities of the main camera are impressive - it supports three zoom modes (optical, hybrid and digital), the latter being able to bring the subject up to 50 times! As stated, all this wealth will be accompanied by an optical stabilization system.
On a full battery, the device can live for about a day or two, and if you play constantly - 7 hours.
pros: large memory, high speed memory, powerful processor, cameras, wireless charging.
Minuses: no built-in Google services.
4. One Plus 8
- Screen: 6.55 ″
- Resolution: 2400x1080 (20: 9), 402 ppi
- Memory: 128 GB, RAM 8 GB
- Processor: 8 core (s), 2.84 GHz
- Camera: 3 modules
- Video: fullHD 60 fps, ultraHD 4K, stabilization
- Battery capacity: 4300mAh
When creating One Plus 8 and One Plus 8 Pro, the company's engineers went not in a revolutionary way, but in an evolutionary way. Both models are kind of upgraded versions of the previous generation.
Unlike the Pro version, the One Plus 8 has neither wireless charging nor waterproofing. But I got a very good display with a diagonal of 6.55 inches, a resolution of 2400 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The cameras of the “just” One Plus 8 are also slightly worse than those of the “Pro” - only three sensors. And for some reason, the developers decided to remove the telephoto lens that was present in the previous seventh version.
Interestingly, all the models ranked from 4 to 1 in the selection of the most powerful smartphones of 2020 have a common feature - this is the Snapdragon 865 and the Adreno 650 GPU with a liquid cooling system.
pros: screen, design, sound.
Minuses: no telephoto lens, no official support in Russia, no moisture protection.
3. OnePlus 8 Pro
- Screen: 6.78 ", 3168 × 1440
- Camera: 3 modules, fullHD 60 fps, 4K video, stabilization
- Memory: 256 GB, microSD card slot
- RAM: 12 GB
- Battery: 4510mAh
Unlike the previous version, the OnePlus 8 Pro has at its disposal wireless charging with a pretty good power of 30W and a 4510mAh battery. And also full protection against water according to the IP68 standard. And it's high time, given that the OnePlus 8 Pro is the most expensive smartphone among the top five according to the Master Lu benchmark. It would be very disappointing if the thousand-dollar device became unusable after being immersed in an aquatic environment.
In addition, the One Plus 8 Pro received a display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and as many as three microphones with an audio zoom option. And to convert video from 24 frames per second to 120 frames per second, the smartphone has its own separate processor.
pros: screen, resolution, camera, sound.
Minuses: price, lack of official support in Russia.
2.iQOO Neo3
- Screen: 6.57 ", 2408х1080 (20: 9)
- Camera: 3 modules, 4K video
- Memory: 128 GB, microSD card slot
- Hardware: 8 cores, 2.84 GHz, 6 GB RAM
- Battery: 4500mAh
This is one of the few smartphones that is positioned as a gaming one. In addition, it is also relatively inexpensive - at least among the top five smartphones in terms of performance. You actually get a flagship smartphone at a very attractive price for a solid mid-range gadget.
Like the previous models, the iQOO Neo3 is made on the basis of the latest and very fast eight-core Snapdragon 856 processor with a frequency of 2.84 GHz. And its gaming purpose is clearly indicated by the refresh rate of the screen -144 Hz. Just like a desktop computer monitor.
The second feature that the company's engineers paid great attention to is the cooling of the smartphone. The 11th generation Carbon Fiber VC Liquid Cooling system is responsible for it. According to the manufacturer, their smartphone heats up 10-12 ° less than analogs of comparable power.
And so that you can play not only quickly, but also for a long time, the smartphone is equipped with a 4400 mAh battery with a 55 W fast charging system. It charges from zero to 100% in just one hour.
The camera paid the least attention, but the result was still good. There are two of them, one triple - with a resolution of 48 MP (base), 8 MP (circular lens) and 2 MP (for macro photography). And the second, front, with a resolution of 16 MP.
pros: high-speed, powerful, little heats up.
Minuses: deliveries to Russia are not planned yet; slow fingerprint scanner.
1. Oppo Ace2
- Screen: 6.55 ", 2400х1080 (20: 9)
- Camera: 4 modules, fullHD 60 fps, 4K video
- Memory: 128 GB, microSD card slot
- Hardware: 8 cores, 2.84 GHz, 8 GB RAM
- Battery: 4000mAh
Surprisingly, the first place among the fastest and most powerful smartphones based on "Android" was not a model from the titans of the industry. Long-time leaders in this area, Huawei and Xiaomi were pushed aside by another Chinese company - Oppo. It appeared on the Russian market quite recently, in 2017, but thanks to the abundance of interesting technical solutions, it quickly became popular.
It's no wonder that the upcoming new product from Oppo, the Ace2, has generated a lot of interest. The Chinese skillfully fueled expectations, promising not only the top-level Snapdragon 865 processor together with the Adreno 650 graphics, support for the fifth generation of networks, a stunning FPS in games, but also a 6.5-inch display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 180 Hz sampling.
And, as it turned out, they did not deceive - the smartphone presented on April 13, 2020 not only met, but also exceeded all expectations.
In addition to a powerful processor, this device also has a powerful 4000 mAh battery. And charging is done not only fast (power 65 W), but also wireless (40 W)! And so that the pocket computer (the language does not dare to call this miracle of smartphone construction simply "mobile phone") does not overheat, the Chinese craftsmen have put a 4D cooling system into it.
pros: speed, power, large screen with a solid refresh rate.
Minuses: will not be released in Russia soon.
