Each premiere related to the hit Star Wars franchise is something epic. So it happened with the new LEGO collection. Her story began in August 2017, when an entry appeared on LEGO Twitter about the imminent release of a new, truly huge set.
The largest LEGO set in the world
Readers were then presented with an image showing two huge piles of gray and beige blocks.
This, according to LEGO, was the largest collection of Lego Star Wars of ever released, it includes 7,541 parts. That's 1,600 more pieces than the previous largest LEGO model.
The creators of the new collection named it Millennium Falcon (article 75192). The Millennium Falcon is Han Solo's favorite freighter, piloted after his death by Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew).
The largest Lego set in the world costs $ 800. In Russia it can be purchased for 60 thousand rubles... For this price, you will not only receive a huge number of parts, but also several minifigures representing old and new members of the Millennium Falcon's crew. These include:
- Han Solo;
- Chewbacca;
- Princess Leia;
- C-3PO;
- the aged Han Solo from The Force Awakens;
- Rey;
- Finn;
- BB-8.
In addition to them, the set contains a couple of porgs and minoks.
Classic crew weapons include Khan's blaster and Chewbacca's energy crossbow.
As an added bonus, the heads on the original Han and Leia figurines can be rotated so that the owner of the set can put on air respirators and recreate scenes such as the attack of the mineok in The Empire Strikes Back.
The Millennium Falcon measures over 21 cm in height, 84 cm in length and 56 cm in width.
The Lego team went to great lengths to make the scaled-down version of the Star Wars ship as accurate as possible. It has two laser cannons, a hidden blaster cannon, 7 support posts, a folding boarding ramp. And it even comes with detachable round and rectangular antennas to match either the original trilogy or later episodes VII and VIII. All trim segments are removable to allow the player direct access to the interior. And inside the ship there are internal sections - an exact imitation of the original. There is also a secret room under the floor.
This version of the Millennium Falcon set is an update to the 2007 version that held the title of "Largest Lego Star Wars collection" for ten years. It contains 5,195 parts. The release of the 2007 set has already been discontinued, but it remains one of the most requested by fans. Prices for the original model range from $ 2,000 to $ 3,000.
The Ultimate Collector series also contains tons of other Star Wars sets, including the Death Star and Imperial Star Destroyer, as well as the DC Extended Universe's Batmobile and the Marvel Comic Universe's Helicarrier.
