Bank reliability rating 2018 (data from the Central Bank)

Every year, the Central Bank revokes licenses from several Russian banks. And although 2018 has just begun, two - Moscow Bank Star Alliance and Yaroslavl AltaiBusiness Bank - have entered the "unlicensed" list of banks.

This list is out of date, we have updated rating of banks for 2019 according to the Central Bank.

10. B&N Bank

In 2017, this large capital bank was not included in the top 10 most reliable banks in Russia. He had problems with the outflow of depositors' funds. Because of the resulting financial "hole", the management of B&N Bank had to ask the Central Bank for reorganization.

In September 2017, the Bank of Russia became the main investor in B&N Bank, while the reorganization is carried out through the Banking Sector Consolidation Fund (FCBS). Therefore, depositors do not have to worry that B&N Bank will have problems with a license. In addition, they can withdraw and distribute previously opened deposits in full, especially since B&N Bank offers the highest rates on deposits in 2018.

9. Promsvyazbank

This credit institution has been among the most reliable Russian banks for several years. However, now Promsvyazbank is not having the best of times. A colossal financial "hole" of 100 billion rubles was discovered in his budget.

Due to the fact that the value of Promsvyazbank's own funds turned out to be negative, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in January 2018 ordered to reduce the authorized capital of the bank to 1 ruble. Now the financial institution will share the fate of B&N Bank. It will be reorganized, and the FCBS will become its shareholder.

8. Moscow Credit Bank

This backbone bank, operating in the Moscow region, belongs to the head of Rossium, Roman Avdeev. In 2018, MKB demonstrates an increase in net assets by 2.07% (up to 38 billion rubles).

7. Bank "FC Otkritie"

The confident growth of net assets (by 2.39% or 50 billion rubles) and the growth of net profit by 66.90% or 235 billion rubles make it clear that the bank, which recently underwent reorganization, is now doing well.

However, unlike the leaders of the 2018 bank reliability rating according to the Central Bank, Otkrytie's credit outlook is not Stable, but Developing. This means that the bank is more sensitive to negative changes in the economic environment than “stable” banks.

6. Alfa-Bank

This completely non-state credit institution is one of the important participants in the Russian banking sector. Almost the entire block of shares, namely 99.89%, belongs to AB Holding JSC, which, in turn, is owned by Alfa Group.

Alfa-Bank has an excellent credit rating (ruAA), annual capital and net income growth of 4.05% (12 billion rubles) and 52.35% (12 billion rubles), respectively.

5. Rosselkhozbank

The specialization of one of the largest banks in Russia is clear from its name. It finances enterprises in the agro-industrial complex. The entire stake in the bank is owned by the state. 3. Gazprombank

As in last year's top 10, Gazprombank was among the three most reliable banks in Russia. It has a high level of creditworthiness and financial stability, and this level will be stable according to Expert RA. During the year, Gazprombank's assets grew by 2.30% or 126 billion rubles.

2. VTB

In January of this year, VTB Bank joined VTB 24. According to Andrey Kostin, head of the VTB Group, such a step, as well as the reorganization of business in Europe, will allow the group to save up to 18 billion rubles a year. At the same time, all products and services will remain available to customers of both banks, and they will not have to re-execute the existing contracts.

In terms of net assets (over 9 trillion rubles), VTB Bank ranks second in Russia after the leader in the rating. It has the highest creditworthiness level (ruAAA) and has a stable outlook over the medium term. Forbes magazine included VTB among the most stable banks in the Russian Federation.

1. Sberbank of Russia

It's not the first year Sberbank tops the official list of the most reliable banks according to the Central Bank... It is the undisputed leader in net assets (23 trillion rubles), and over the year almost all of its main indicators - from net profit to equity capital - have grown. A 3.33% decrease was recorded only in terms of overdue debt in the loan portfolio.

The main shareholder of Sberbank is the Central Bank of Russia, which owns 50% of the authorized capital and one more voting share.

Sberbank's activities are, perhaps, the most reviews, both bad and good. It contains almost 50% of all private deposits, and every third corporate and retail loan was taken from Sberbank. Currently, it is safest to keep your money in it.
