For 8 months of 2012, gamers all over the world received several dozen good games at their disposal. Today we offer rating of the best games of 2012 for a personal computer according to the MetaGames portal. Many of them have been eagerly anticipated by fans since last year.
The list includes 15 games that received the highest marks from Russian and foreign specialized publications.

15. Sid Meier's Civilization 5: Gods and Kings (Strategy, release date June 19, 2012)
Is an addition to one of the best turn-based strategies. The highlight of the addon is the addition of a spy network, saboteurs and an improved combat system to the game.
14. Deponia (Adventure, Released 07 Aug 2012)
Is an adventure game where the main character is Rufus, who lives on a planet littered with garbage. The game features a nice interface, light humor and an interesting storyline.
13. Botanicula (Adventure, Released April 19, 2012)
- a quest, the heroes of which are Mr. Tuber, Miss Mushroom, Mr. Acorn, Mr. Feather and Mr. Twig. Each of them has special abilities that help save a large tree from parasites.
12. Warface (Action / Shooter, Released April 12, 2012)
- one of best online shooters of 2012... In the story, a hot war unfolds between the Warface and Blackwood squads. The game runs well even on rather weak computers, and is also shareware, which adds points to the rating.
11.Alan Wake (Action / Adventure - Released Feb 16, 2012)
- a real mystical thriller from the authors of the famous Max Payne. The main character is the horror genre writer Alan Wake, who gets into his own not very kind work.
10.Crusader Kings 2 (Strategy, Released Feb 14, 2012)
Takes the player back to the Middle Ages, with all its feudal strife, crusades and knightly tournaments. The game allows you to feel like a monarch of one of the European states.
9.Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (Action / Shooter, Released August 21, 2012)

7. Rayman Origins (Arcade, Released March 29, 2012)

It will appeal to all fans of dynamic adventure games.The game takes place simultaneously with the events of the first part - Darksiders: Wrath of War.
5.Diablo 3 (RPG, release date May 15, 2012)
- one of most anticipated games of 2019... The plot unfolds 20 years after the events of the second part of the cult role-playing game. The game features improvements in the combat system and character development system. You can play as a barbarian, sorcerer, sorcerer, monk and demon hunter. Cooperative mode is available. Brighter graphics and great sound are designed to make the confrontation between good and evil even more exciting.
