If you are looking for a new smartphone that offers the best features and specifications, one of the Xiaomi models is a great choice. This Chinese company is famous for the optimal balance of quality and value of its products.
And considering that we are choosing a good Xiaomi smartphone in 2020, at the peak of competition between manufacturers of mobile devices, we can count on the fact that buying a flagship or a state employee Xiaomi will not devastate the family budget.
Of all the variety of devices, we have included in the ranking of the 10 best Xiaomi smartphones in 2020.
10.Redmi 10X 5G
- screen: 6.57 ′, 2400 × 1080 pixels FHD + Amoled

The Redmi 10X 5G is the first smartphone to ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset, supporting 5G dual standby and enabling 5G connectivity to high-end and mid-range devices.
It features a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen with fingerprint sensor, 4520mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging and four cameras including a 48MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 16MP front-facing selfie -camera.
The price of this Taobao smartphone starts at RMB 1,599 (RUR 15,530) for the 6GB / 64GB variant. It can be bought on eBay for 36,412.73 rubles ($ 532)

9.Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S
- Android

- four cameras 48 MP / 8 MP / 5 MP / 2 MP, autofocus
- memory 64 GB, memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
- RAM 4 GB
- battery 5020 mAh
This is an almost complete copy of the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which we will also talk about in the selection of the best Xiaomi smartphones.
The main difference between this model and Proshka is the lack of an NFC chip, which will not allow making contactless payments. Plus, the Note 9S has 2GB less RAM, 18W slower charging, and a 48MP main camera instead of 64MP. But on the other hand, the price is significantly lower.
pros: bright, juicy screen, pleasant vibration feedback, all applications and games run quickly and smoothly, there is a jack for wired headphones, a case is included.
Minuses: No NFC, wireless charging and optical stabilization of the camera.
8.Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro
- Android
- screen 6.67 ″, resolution 2400 × 1080
- four cameras 64 MP / 8 MP / 5 MP / 2 MP, autofocus
- memory 64 GB, memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC
- RAM 6 GB
- battery 5020 mAh
This inexpensive new Xiaomi smartphone is equipped with a 6.67-inch IPS display and a 5020 mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
The "heart" of the smartphone is a high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, while the "eyes" are a rear four-sensor camera with a 64-megapixel main sensor, as well as a 16-megapixel selfie camera. At night, you can see "soap" in the pictures, but in normal lighting it is difficult to find fault with the quality of the photo - and the detail and contrast and dynamic range are very good for smartphone up to 20,000 rubles.
Perhaps not everyone will like the location of the fingerprint scanner in the power button, and not in the back or in the screen, but here, as they say, it's a matter of taste.
pros: loud and clear sound, there is a 3.5 mm audio jack, a case included, a separate slot for a memory card, there is an event indicator light.
Minuses: no protection against water, the camera module protrudes slightly even in the case, when shooting video, there is not enough optical stabilization, there is no wireless charging.
7.Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro
- Android 10
- screen 6.67 ″, resolution 2400 × 1080
- four cameras 64 MP / 13 MP / 5 MP / 2 MP, autofocus
- memory 128 GB, no memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC
- RAM 6 GB
- battery 4700 mAh
Two years ago, Xiaomi launched a sub-brand called Poco, which impressed the market by offering what was the best at the time - a Snapdragon 845 chip in a $ 300 device. And now, in 2020, the top Xiaomi smartphones have replenished with the long-awaited second generation Pocophone.
In truth, the Poco F2 Pro is very similar to the latest Xiaomi models, and that's a good thing: the photo and video performance in Xiaomi smartphones is one of the best for Android devices; and the tactile vibration motor is just as good as the Mi 10 Pro.
The Poco F2 Pro features a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED screen, a pop-up 20MP selfie camera and a rear camera with a 64MP main sensor.
The ex-flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor is responsible for the excellent performance, and the 4700 mAh battery supporting 30W charging is responsible for the long-term operation.
Of course, compromises had to be made to please the price. Here's a quick rundown of what the Poco F2 Pro doesn't match with the regular 2020 flagships:
- The F2 Pro doesn't support wireless charging despite having a glass back cover. It has no water resistance rating.
- It doesn't have a dedicated zoom camera, so any zoom on this device is completely digital.
- And the display refreshes at the traditional 60Hz instead of the higher 90 or 120Hz seen in other new phones.
pros: the manufacturer did not forget about the 3.5 mm headphone jack, an ideal display without "monobrows" and "drops", bass and rich sound.
Minuses: no optical stabilization, no memory card slot.
6. Xiaomi Black Shark 3
- Android 10.0
- screen 6.67 ″, resolution 2400x1080
- triple camera 64 MP / 13 MP / 5 MP, autofocus
- memory 128 GB, no memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
- RAM 8 GB
- battery 4720 mAh
This gaming shark among the best Xiaomi smartphones of 2020 pleasantly surprises with both screen characteristics (AMOLED, 90 Hz refresh rate, HDR10 + support) and performance.
Any game will simply fly on this device thanks to the Snapdragon 865 processor, Adreno 650 video accelerator and a large amount of RAM. And stereo speakers complement your gaming session with loud and surround sound. To prevent the smartphone from overheating during long-term operation, the manufacturer has built a liquid cooling system into it.
In addition to gaming, Black Shark 3 is ideal for mobile photography and video recording in 4K resolution at 60fps.
pros: Fast sub-screen fingerprint scanner, 30W wireless charging.
Minuses: no memory card slot.
5.Xiaomi Redmi Go
- Android 8.1
- support for two SIM-cards
- screen 5 ″, resolution 1280 × 720
- 8 MP camera, autofocus
- memory 16 GB, memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
- RAM 1 GB
- battery 3000 mAh
The cheapest Xiaomi smartphone in our rating is an ideal gift for a child, an elderly person or yourself if you need an inexpensive and reliable "mobile horse" for calls and reading social networks.
Due to its compact size, Redmi Go will fit in your pocket, and given the screen size and not too "gluttonous" Snapdragon 425 processor, its battery will last for 1-2 days.
pros: separate memory card slot, good audibility, bright and clear display.
Minuses: Legacy micro-USB connector, mediocre camera, no fingerprint reader.
4.Xiaomi Redmi 8
- Android 9.0
- screen 6.22 ″, resolution 1520 × 720
- dual camera 12 MP / 2 MP, autofocus
- memory 32 GB, memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
- RAM 3 GB
- battery 5000 mAh
This model is intended for those who primarily need from a gadget:
- powerful battery with fast charging,
- memory card slot,
- bright display,
- good camera.
The Redmi 8 has it all.Yes, in terms of speed, it is not like its older brothers, such as Mi Note 10 Pro or Redmi Note 9S, but the Snapdragon 439 processor will pull many modern games at least at minimum. And for work or entertainment tasks, such as watching videos, making calls or surfing the Internet, the capabilities of this model will be enough for several years to come.
During daylight hours and under normal artificial lighting, the main camera takes fairly detailed images with good dynamic range. Don't expect the quality of a DSLR from this smartphone, but you won't have to blush for taking photos and selfies. Especially if you install the Google camera app.
pros: case included, there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack, there is a fingerprint scanner, a separate slot for a memory card.
Minuses: many pre-installed programs, no NFC chip, no notification LED, slightly grainy screen due to low pixel density - 270 ppi.
3. Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro
- Android
- screen 6.47 ″, resolution 2340 × 1080
- five cameras 108 MP / 12 MP / 20 MP / 5 MP, autofocus
- memory 256 GB, no memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC
- RAM 8 GB
- battery 5260 mAh
This is the newest flagship from Xiaomi. It has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, a four-module main camera with OIS, 2x optical Zoom and an impressive 108MP main sensor, and a large battery that supports 50W wired charging.
Selfie camera with a resolution of 32 MP will delight the quality of shooting those who love detailed, high-contrast shots, but without excessive sharpening (oversharp) and unnaturally bright colors.
But the processor of the Mi Note 10 Pro is slightly behind the rest of the characteristics - the Snapdragon 730G. Don't get me wrong, this is a superb chipset with enough power headroom for the next two years at least. However, taking into account the top-end characteristics of the Mi Note 10 Pro, the manufacturer could have generous with the latest Snapdragon 875.On the other hand, this would raise the price of the smartphone by several thousand rubles.
In general, the capabilities of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro are perfectly balanced for both everyday and gaming tasks, as well as photography and video shooting.
pros: there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a protective case is included.
Minuses: no wireless charging mode, no moisture protection, light objects are overexposed, there is no memory card slot.
2.Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite
- Android
- screen 6.47 ″, resolution 2340 × 1080
- four cameras 64 MP / 9 MP / 5 MP / 2 MP, autofocus
- memory 128 GB, no memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC
- RAM 8 GB
- battery 5260 mAh
The Lite model inherits many of the features of the top-end Mi Note 10 Pro. These include: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chip, a curved screen with Gorilla Glass 5, a 5260mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging out of the box, and MIUI 11 based on Android 10.
The main difference is the cameras. Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite has a 64MP quad camera on the back instead of a 108MP penta unit and a 16MP selfie camera instead of a 32MP front camera.
Basically, you get a flagship at a very attractive price. With any task, be it a hard game such as PUBG or high-quality photography, this model will cope without the slightest difficulty.
pros: large amount of RAM, 3.5 mm jack, does not heat up under load.
Minuses: cameras lack optical stabilization, no wireless charging, firmware has built-in ads, no memory card slot.
1. Xiaomi Mi 10
- Android 10
- screen 6.67 ″, resolution 2340 × 1080
- four cameras 108 MP / 2 MP / 2 MP / 13 MP, autofocus
- memory 256 GB, no memory card slot
- 3G, 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC
- RAM 8 GB
- battery 4780 mAh
If I were asked, without hesitation, to say which Xiaomi smartphone is better to choose in 2020, I would call the Mi 10 model. It has everything you need from a flagship device, from build quality to 30W wireless charging.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 has a very beautiful and stylish look that will grab your attention. The phone adopts a glass sandwich design with curved glass on the front and back, making it look very sleek.
The display has a refresh rate of 90Hz, which improves the visual experience in some games, as the movements will be smoother. It is certified for HDR 10+ content and has a contrast ratio of 5,000,000: 1.In addition, Xiaomi claims that the display covers 100% of the sRGB, NTSC and DCI-P3 color gamut, which means high color accuracy.
The internal hardware includes Qualcomm's powerful mobile platform, the Snapdragon 865. The GPU is an Adreno 650 with support for the Vulkan 1.1 graphics API. The Adreno 650 is the first Qualcomm graphics accelerator to support an upgradeable graphics driver. It can be updated directly through an app store such as the Google Play Store using the GPU Driver Updater tool (this option is already available in China).
The smartphone supports 5G networks, but this does not matter in Russia due to the lack of proper connectivity. The Mi 10 series is also equipped with 30W fast charging.
A highlight of the device is the 108MP camera with Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor. By default, the camera can capture 27-megapixel images with stunning detail, natural color reproduction and excellent dynamic range. In terms of video, the Mi 10 comes with optical stabilization for the main sensor, support for 4K recording at up to 60fps and 8K recording at 24 or 30fps.
pros: Rich and clear sound from stereo speakers, case included, very bright display.
Minuses: no expandable memory storage.
