Rating of Russian regions by income level 2019

Who cares about the income of the population, except for the population itself? RIA Novosti experts who decided to identify the Russian regions with the highest incomes of the population in 2019

In order to look into the “pocket of the whole country”, the compilers of the rating of Russian regions by income in 2019 calculated the real value of income, namely, its ratio to the standard consumer basket. The proportions of the population living below the poverty line and below the extreme poverty line were also taken into account.

The results were disappointing, especially if you live in Tuva, Kalmykia or Altai. The local residents have the least money, they actually live below the poverty line.

At the same time, when we say “poverty,” we do not mean what is considered to be noble poverty: when there is money for the basic set of products, and you have to sacrifice clothes and shoes.

No, poverty in Russia has a different face, extremely ugly. People are not just poor, they are literally trying to survive. But, fortunately, the percentage of beggars in the top 10 most prosperous regions does not exceed 1.7%. But there are just a little more poor people - up to 11%.

10 regions of Russia with the highest incomes of the population

H

10. Republic of Tatarstan

Income / standard set of goods and services: 1.93

The list of the most prosperous regions of Russia in terms of incomes of the population is opened by the Republic of Tatarstan. The average salary there is 35 thousand rubles. And, surprisingly, the most paid here are not miners and oil workers, but scientific workers. Their incomes exceed the salaries of those involved in the extraction and processing of "black gold". If the former receive an average of 58 thousand rubles, then the latter - 55 thousand. rubles.

In Tatarstan, very few people live below the poverty line. According to this indicator, the region is at the level of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

9. St. Petersburg

Income / standard set: 1.93

The northern capital is one of the most favorable regions for living in Russia. The average salary there is 60 thousand rubles, and if it fluctuates monthly, it is insignificant.

However, as in the rest of Russia as a whole, the real incomes, adjusted for inflation, were lower for Petersburgers last year than before. True, Peter has so far cost a little blood, and compared to the year before last, the difference is only 1.2% (not in favor of this year).

People associated with the oil and gas industry receive the most - their average salary exceeds 170 thousand rubles. No, oil has not yet been found in St. Petersburg itself. We are talking about workers in the mining and oil and gas industries, whose enterprises are headquartered in the northern capital. But the worst is for the employees of the Russian post office. Their limit is 30 thousand per month.

8. Moscow region

Income / standard set: 2.02

The region confidently follows its lighthouse - the capital of Russia. The incomes of its residents are gradually growing.Last year they grew by 5.6%, and the average salary in the region already exceeds 45 thousand rubles.

But inflation does not sleep either. Taking into account its growth in incomes of the population of the Moscow region is only 2%.

7.Moscow

Income / standard set: 2.07

How is Moscow only in seventh place? How can this be? However, the city authorities do not lose their optimism, and assure that in some five years the average salary may well reach a decent (even by metropolitan standards) sum of 135 thousand rubles.

Perhaps then the Russian capital will finally enter the top 5 regions in terms of population income, overtaking the oilmen who are firmly seated in the first places in the rating.

By the way, in one region Moscow still came out on top. The share of the poor in the total population is extremely small. Only half a percent live below the poverty line, and this is the most favorable indicator in the entire country. There are just a little more poor Muscovites - 7.7%.

6. Sakhalin region

Income / standard set ratio: 2.14

The average salary in the Far East is almost 69 thousand rubles, and if you subtract all taxes, then 60 thousand rubles. In general, the income of the population is growing steadily, having increased over the past three years by 5.5%.

As usual, oil and gas workers have the most money. They condescendingly look down on mere mortals whose salaries are three times less.

And the worst is the service sector, especially the trade and catering sector. Their salary is half the total. Nevertheless, the grocery basket for Sakhalin residents is getting more and more expensive. Products in this area are among the most "golden" in the Far East region.

5. Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (Yugra)

Income / standard set ratio: 2.14

High income levels have a pleasant consequence in the form of housing affordability. More than half of the families of Ugra can rent a kopeck piece with peace of mind, and they will have money for food and entertainment.

At the same time, the settlements in the district are most often the so-called "monotowns", whose residents work at the same enterprise. And those who do not work in this very enterprise serve the aforementioned category. Oil workers have traditionally high salaries, although social workers do well here too. And the salaries of educators in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug are among the highest in Russia.

4. Magadan region

Income / standard set: 2.27

The residents of the Magadan region themselves are skeptical about their high position in the all-Russian rating of the highest salaries. Yes, on average, people started getting more. However, the difference between high and low income is getting smaller, and in the direction of decreasing the first, and not due to an increase in the second.

Plus, the experts who compiled the list did not take into account that people work in the Far North on a rotational basis. They will work and go home, spend the accumulated money and recuperate. However, statistics cannot account for these "downtime".

3. Chukotka Autonomous Okrug

Income / standard set: 2.38

The third place is occupied by the northernmost and most remote region from the European part of the country - the Chukotka region. It's not just cold there, but super-cold, since the entire region is entirely included in the Arctic zone, and more than half of it is generally located beyond the Arctic Circle.

What attracts people there and why are salaries in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug so high? Of course, minerals. There is so much there: coal, oil, gas, and also metals (gold, silver, copper and tin).

There are few people in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug - the entire population of the region is just over 49 thousand people. However, despite the country's high income, the population of Chukotka is not luxurious. As in Sakhalin, food prices are growing very quickly here. Moreover, the inflation rate in the region is the highest in the country (6.8%).

2. Nenets Autonomous District

Income / standard set: 2.9

The Nenets Autonomous Okrug is in second place in the ranking of Russia's regions with the highest level of income in 2019. Of course, oil and gas workers have the highest salaries. Their average salary is about 100 thousand rubles.

Officials, whose salaries are slightly below 90 thousand rubles, are slightly behind the oil and gas workers. Insurers with salaries of about 80 thousand rubles step on their heels.

But the worst is for the agrarians, who, given the harsh working conditions, receive mere pittances. A rare agricultural worker receives more than 30 thousand rubles.

The hotel servants and trade workers have a little better (33 thousand rubles and 40 thousand rubles, respectively). But it is better for builders not to go to the Nenets Autonomous District - the biggest wage debt is in this area of activity.

1. Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District

jwdayednIncome / standard set ratio: 3

Inhabitants of this extreme northern region have the highest income / test ratio of services and goods. They can buy this most hypothetical set three times. This is most likely due to the growth of industry in the region.

What are the residents of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug doing, where do they earn their "crazy money"? Mineral resources are extracted. Of course, these are oil and gas - two pillars on which modern Russia still stands.

According to statistics, industrial production in the region has more than doubled, and oil production has increased by almost a quarter over the past three years. In addition, people work in enterprises that provide the extractive industry with energy, gas, steam, water, and also remove and dispose of the resulting waste and all kinds of garbage.

Workers of social professions also live well in Yamal. For example, a doctor's salary can be up to 180 thousand rubles. The explanation for such generosity is simple - medical workers in Yamal are in short supply. But there are apparently a lot of engineers, because the average salary of an engineer there is 58 thousand rubles.

The life of the reindeer herders is the worst; on average, they receive no more than 30 thousand rubles.
