10. Humor FM
Among the most popular radio stations in Russia, "Humor FM" is a kind of unique phenomenon. The fact is that this is the only radio station, the air of which is 100% filled with laughter and jokes. And although this format is somewhat risky, in more than ten years after its creation, the radio station has won the hearts of millions of listeners, without exaggeration. The secret of the success of "Humor FM" lies in the thoughtful alternation of music and entertainment and humorous programs.
9. Radio Russia
The peculiarity of this radio station is a wide variety of programs. It mixes in equal proportions both music of various genres, as well as children's programs, and entertainment for adults, and talk shows, and sports news, and medical information, and cultural news, and much more.
The total number of programs reaches over 170, and each radio listener will find something of their own on Radio Russia. The audience of the radio station is approximately in equal proportions of all ages, but advertising (usually about a variety of dietary supplements and physiotherapy devices) is aimed at older people. Be aware (and tell elderly relatives) that the quality of advertised accessories is difficult to verify. Therefore, you should treat this information with caution.
8. Lead FM
Vesti FM's position in the top 10 most popular radio stations in Russia in 2019 is special. If all the others, without exception, are music and entertainment radio stations, then Vesti is a completely informational program.
The second distinctive quality of this radio station is its poor representation at radio frequencies itself. Most of the channel's listeners receive news about the latest international and Russian events via the Internet. As for the news, "Vesti", thanks to the powerful parent holding VGTRK, receives them "in the heat of the heat", first-hand.
7. Radio Chanson
Even if you are not a fan of chanson, you probably heard "Radio Chanson" if you traveled in a minibus or bus.The creators of the new concept radio station, which appeared in the first year of the new millennium, relied on "soulfulness".
Surprisingly, the tender sprout of French chanson took root in the Russian soil, blossomed, and grew into a mighty tree that covered almost seven million inhabitants of Russia with its branches. The roots of the tree nourished, in addition to foreign waters, the domestic bard tradition, thieves' songs, urban romance and favorite movie hits. As a result, a unique phenomenon appeared - "Russian chanson", about which they even write dissertations in musicology.
6. Radio Dacha
Radio broadcasting brings a pleasant variety to the life of people who, in the spring, raising their fifth point to heaven, plant seedlings in the beds. It is on this part of the population that Radio Dacha is oriented. The goal of broadcasting (in addition to commercial) is to create a warm home atmosphere and confidence in the future.
To achieve this, "Radio Dacha" broadcasts your favorite nostalgic songs of the eighties and nineties, when our hypothetical summer residents and summer residents were full of youthful enthusiasm. At the same time, the latest hits of the Russian music industry do not stand aside. Despite the harsh conditions of the urban jungle, Muscovites also appreciate the intimate atmosphere; however, in the capital "Dacha" is in tenth place in popularity.
5. Retro FM
Not only veterans do not grow old in soul, but also the listeners of "Retro FM" - the fifth most popular radio station in Russia. However, the concept of "retro" expanded as the station moved from the past century to the present century. Now she also broadcasts hits of the nineties.
"Retro FM" focuses mainly on listeners who are nostalgic for good songs of the past. These are mainly people over 30 years old. It is interesting that there are more "veterans" in Moscow. We made this conclusion on the basis that in the capital "Retro FM" takes the honorable third place in popularity.
4. Russian Radio
The founders of "Russian Radio" once made a bet on the Russian - and they paid off. This step in the mid-90s, when the radio company was founded, was rather risky. In the midst of the demolition of communist ideals and the transition to undeveloped capitalism, the Russian was associated only with the "rotten scoop", and preference was given to foreign performers. Mostly English-speaking.
More than twenty years have passed since then, and it is safe to say that the experiment was successful. "Russian Radio" broadcasts in more than a thousand cities and not only in Russia, but also in the countries of near and far abroad. And, as before, songs only in Russian are heard on it.
3. Autoradio
This radio is aimed at listeners of all ages. The main thing is that the person is on the road. The overwhelming majority of airtime is devoted to a wide variety of music, which is interrupted by notifications about events on the roads.
In the case of Avtoradio, the statistics for Moscow differs from the all-Russian one - there this radio station came out on top in popularity. And this is not surprising, given the number of cars per capita, as well as the endless traffic jams in Moscow.
2. Road Radio
The story of "Road Radio" is a kind of analogue of the Hollywood "success story". It was born in a small town, but thanks to the talent and perseverance of the creators, it quickly made its way to the very top. Curiously, this climb did not require inflated budgets or huge marketing costs. As the authors themselves say, the main secret was attentiveness to the audience, adjustment to their tastes and values, as well as the ability to guess their desires.
This technique bore fruit, and already three years later, Road Radio was in the lead in St. Petersburg and the vicinity of the Northern Capital. And seven years after its creation, it also entered the territory of the capital.
Thanks to the kindness, sincerity and romance of the road going beyond the horizon, Road Radio still manages to stay in the top three leaders of the best Russian radio stations. True, Muscovites were not so susceptible to the spell of "coincidence of values."If we count only in Moscow, then "Road Radio" is in fifth place in popularity.
1. Europe Plus
The most popular radio station in Russia is still Europa Plus. Still - because over the past ten years it has firmly held the first place in the rating and, it seems, is not going to give up its position.
During this decade, the radio station managed to please listeners with the voice of Rihanna more than 19 thousand times, 45 thousand people became the happy owners of the prizes played out in the studio, and 1800 listeners got the opportunity to attend concerts of the world's leading performers. Such world-class stars as Wolverine (that is, Hugh Jackman) came to visit Europe. And the number of subscribers on the Vkontakte network has exceeded four million.
Europa Plus was the first non-state radio station created even before the collapse of the USSR. It was she who largely formed the standards of radio broadcasting, which are adhered to by those who entered the media space later. The reason for its popularity is not only a high-quality music stream, but also the desire and opportunity to try out new and interesting broadcast formats.
