The International Center (hereinafter - MC) for the supervision of fuel quality (the full name of the organization in English - The International Fuel Quality Center, abbreviated - IFQC) was published gasoline quality rating in 100 countries of the worldbased on its sulfur content. For reference: the above MC was established in 1998 as a division of Hart Energy Publishing LLP. This energy information company is now one of the largest in the world. IFQC is a service that collects analytical data on the quality of transport fuels.
Sulfur Is a natural component of oil. Due to incomplete purification of raw materials, it remains in the transport fuel. When gasoline is burned, sulfur is released into the air. Sulfur compounds have a detrimental effect on human health and the environment. Thanks to the purification of gasoline, it is possible to significantly reduce the level of emissions of sulfur, nitrogen oxides, and carbon, and to make the engine work longer and more efficiently.

IFQC ranking data is updated every six months. The location of the country in the last ranking was determined based on:
- the maximum allowable sulfur content in gasoline based on national standards;
- the maximum allowable rate according to local or regional standards (for example, this rule was valid for cities or states);
- year of introduction of restrictions.
What conclusions follow from the study, where is the highest quality gasoline? According to IFQC analytical data, the best in terms of quality composition is offered in Germany... The second place in the ranking was given to Japan. The third place is occupied by several countries at the same time: it was divided among themselves by Austria, Estonia, Denmark, Hungary, Finland, Sweden. Poland is in 9th position. Ukraine can be seen on line 48 list of data provided by IFQC. The quality of gasoline in Russia was awarded only 84 places.
There are also noticeable leaps, both positive and negative. The most significant deterioration in the quality of gasoline in the world is in the United States. This country has lost as much as 35 positions. Russia lost 34 positions, Canada - the same amount, Uzbekistan lost 30 positions, and Azerbaijan - 27. The improvement in the quality of fuel in Morocco is most noticeable: the country has moved 76 positions in the IFQC rating. Albania's place rose by 36 positions, Macedonia - by 33, South Korea - by 29, Panama - by 28.
