A leading quality standard - what is it?
The Russian quality system standard (GOST R) for baby diapers sets stricter requirements for their characteristics:
- Air permeability of the upper casing layer.
- Vapor permeability of the bottom cover layer and reverse sorption (that is, the ability to retain moisture inside): no more than 6 grams should be released back from 240 grams of the liquid absorbed by the diaper.
- The presence of a moisture indicator and elastic sidewalls with Velcro, or elastic waistband.
This standard, of course, is not mandatory, but products that do not comply with it cannot be a contender for the right to be awarded the Russian Quality Mark.
