If you are not one of those who claim that they have not watched "Game of Thrones" and asks: "Am I the only one?" the most popular TV series of our time... And, perhaps, they speculated about who will eventually take the Iron Throne, and what will happen to the main characters.
We present to your attention the most plausible theories about how "Game of Thrones" might end and what awaits the main characters in the near future. Recheck these theories for Season 8 as the main battle of the year continues.
Spoiler alert!
10. Jon Snow (Aegon Targaryen)
Even the daggers, which reached the depths of John's soul, could not hold him for more than two episodes. He is the King of the North! And he is Targaryen by birth, the son of Rhaegar Targaryen, which gives him legal rights to the Iron Throne.
And if Jon Snow is Azor Ahai from prophecy, a great warrior destined to save all people, then he will defeat the King of the Night.
In theory, after that, all John has to do is reveal his true origins in order to overthrow Cersei. The entire North is behind him, and for the people of Westeros, he is the savior from the worst threat imaginable.
But we'll see what Daenerys thinks about this.
9. Daenerys Targaryen
The threat of the White Walkers for now forces Daenerys to abandon the fight directly with Cersei. To survive, she will need to use the strength of the remaining two dragons to burn the army of the dead. Considering everything related to killing the White Walkers, if anyone has the methods needed to defeat the Night King, it is probably Daenerys.
In her visions in the House of the Immortals, Daenerys saw snow falling on the Iron Throne, but this could only be a metaphor for the attack of the Night King who came to King's Landing. In any case, only Denis has the firepower and strength to be able to hold King's Landing and claim the throne, with the future of Westeros in her hands.
8. Baby Targaryen
There was a lot of talk about children in the last two episodes of Season 7. Daenerys continued to insist that she was sterile, and Jorah Mormont gave his father's sword to Jon Snow so that he could pass it on to his children.
It looks like we are building on the cusp of a miraculous child born of Targaryen incest. The parents of this child will be two of the most famous and powerful commanders at the moment. And if John and Daenerys are successful in fighting the army of the dead, the miracle baby Targaryen will be next in line to the Iron Throne.
George RR Martin teased fans that the finale of A Song of Ice and Fire would be "bittersweet," so the wonder baby is likely to be an orphan shortly after birth. Perhaps John will die fighting the army of the dead; perhaps Denis will die after giving birth. It is possible that Tyrion or Jorah will be the child's guardian until the young Targaryen reaches adulthood.
7. Tyrion Lannister
There are several theories about how Tyrion Lannister could become the new ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. The most amazing of them (but possible, if there is "this is a twist!") Is that Tyrion is also a Targaryen.
George Martin's books say the Mad King Aerys II was longing for Tyrion's mother and could possibly be Tyrion's father. This would make Tywin's hatred of the dwarf son even more difficult, because he would also be hiding what happened to his wife. Tyrion Targaryen could theoretically even ride a dragon.
Secret or Targaryen, Tyrion is currently the Hand of Queen Daenerys and the assassin of the Lannister patriarch. Plus he has excellent managerial and military experience, and worldly wisdom.
It's hard to imagine Tyrion taking over the Iron Throne while Daenerys is still alive, but it's easy to imagine Imp would be a better king than Jon Snow. Especially if John has to sacrifice himself to end the "long winter."
6. Cersei Lannister
The first queen of the Seven Kingdoms to blow up all of her son's political rivals (including his queen) is loyal only to her family. More precisely, to those whom she perceives as her family at the moment.
Victory conditions for Cersei include holding the Iron Throne (which she already does) and protecting her future children from the undead. Oh yeah, and revenge on Tyrion and Jaime for abandoning her.
Cersei also finds joy in crushing her enemies, and it looks like things are going well so far! She will still have to face the army of the dead, although, as follows from her faulty logic, she will be exhausted by the battle with the entire North.
It will be completely unexpected if Jon Snow and Daenerys cannot stop the Night King. Then Cersei will be able to throw the "green death" at him with the help of a catapult and see what happens.
5. Baby Lannister
There is another incest child (besides the hypothetical baby Targaryen) who may end up winning Game of Thrones. This is Cersei's baby, if she's really pregnant.
Presumably, the war between the King of the Night and the armies led by John and Daenerys will take some time, and Cersei will have time to carry the baby. Seresei herself does not need to be alive after the conflict for baby Lannister to have legal rights to the throne.
Maggie the Frog's prophecy, which we saw in the first episode of season 4, includes a hint of Cersei's death to be killed by "valonkar" - the Valerian word for "little brother." Many people take this as an allusion to Jaime (her twin brother, born a few moments after her) or Tyrion (her real little brother, if he's not Targaryen). But if Cersei has a boy, he will be a "valoncar" for her previous children.
4. Sansa Stark
"Poor sheep", which we saw in the first seasons, became a real lady of the North, smart, cunning and far-sighted. She is, perhaps, the only one who thought about how to feed the whole lot of people that flocked to the Stark House.
To free the North from its current plight, Sansa must withdraw Daenerys and her armies from the northern lands long enough to establish the North's independence. The conflict between John (Aegon) and Daenerys over who has the most legitimate claim to the Iron Throne can only play into Sansa's hands.
The Northerners are stubborn, but one consistent thing is their dedication to Sansa as Lady of Winterfell. And in order to seize control of the Seven Kingdoms and the Iron Throne, Sansa will need to mobilize significant North power (perhaps her close relationship with Theon could help lure the Greyjoys to the North Side, plus Robin Arryn is still loyal to her) then wait for Cersei self-destruct or drain its strength. And then go to King's Landing to claim it for yourself. Or, if John survives, he can relinquish the throne in favor of the Queen of the North, Lady Winterfell, Sansa Stark. As she promised, the North will never kneel again.
3. Bran Stark
Since Bran has become the Three-Eyed Raven, he can change the past in "small doses." And there is one option that will save almost everyone: if Eddard Stark refuses to head south to King's Landing to become the Hand of King Robert. In that case, Ned would eventually tell John about his true origins, and not lose his head.
There is also another option. If Bran's time travel abilities cannot drastically change history, then they can provide portals between specific time periods. Therefore, Bran can turn to his namesake, Bran the Builder, and share some of his knowledge on how to defeat the King of the Night.
We know that Bran is the keeper and symbol of all knowledge in the Human Kingdom. This means that he must live, and, in theory, can take the throne of the Seven Kingdoms.
2. Euron Greyjoy
Furious and unpredictable, Euron controls the Iron Fleet, making him a valuable combat asset for Cersei. In exchange for helping Cersei in her war, Euron was promised that he could marry her. In addition, in the new season, he had sex with (possibly pregnant) Cersei and promised to put the prince in her womb.
Another theory of how Game of Thrones might end is that Euron will marry Cersei after all. This will make him king, and then whatever happens to House Lannister won't matter, as House Greyjoy will control the Iron Throne.
Euron brought the Golden Swords to King's Landing, a group of mercenaries that supposedly never broke contract. But we are talking about Westeros, where the dead broke through the Wall, so mercenaries breaking their first contract won't be the most unexpected thing given the current apocalyptic circumstances.
1. King of the Night
Of course dragons and valerian steel can kill White Walkers - but who said their King could be killed this way? There is a shard of dragon glass in his heart that makes him who he is.
With just one wrong move from the team of Jon Snow and the Night King, he can send his undead dragon straight to King's Landing and sit on the Iron Throne, freezing it forever. The end.
So the ending of "Game of Thrones" can really be bittersweet. Sweet for the King of the Night and bitter for humanity.
