Since 2008, the Green Patrol has been making ecological rating of Russian regions... The regions of the Russian Federation are assessed according to three main categories: environmental (atmosphere, water resources, biological resources), industrial and environmental (industrial waste, environmental impact, business responsibility, etc.) and social (cultural and educational initiatives, habitat, law and power, etc. .).
The Green Patrol receives information from various sources (media, statements of public organizations, reports of citizens, reports of expert organizations, etc.), conducts its own expeditions and investigations, and as a result compiles a consolidated rating, thanks to which it is possible to determine the degree of environmental safety of a particular other region of the Russian Federation. So where is the safest place to live from an environmental point of view?
10. Tomsk region
First of all, conscientious citizens of the Tomsk region are engaged in countering illegal logging and restoration of afforestation - this is how volunteers planted 49 thousand trees in a year. Also Tomsk residents successfully close unauthorized dumps, take out household waste and recently opened the first museum of nature and ecology. And although the Tomsk Region is in 10th place in the overall rating, it is the first in terms of the amount of money spent on nature conservation.
9. Rostov region
Over the past year, the residents of Rostov have created a new nature reserve (at the site of the mass migration of migratory birds) and released into nature more than three thousand different birds, as well as deer and fallow deer. The main problem of the region is water resources. Because of the summer heat and mismanagement, the Tsimlyansk reservoir is only 9% full of the norm, the water from the springs in the region cannot be drunk due to heavy pollution, and the Don continues to grow shallow.
8. Chuvash Republic
The Chuvash Republic has one of the highest social indicators in the environmental rating - 72, it is second only to the Oryol region. In addition, the creation of a new landfill for solid domestic waste influenced the entry into the ecological top 10 regions of the Russian Federation.
7. Kursk region
Over the past year, 153 million rubles from the budget were spent on environmental protection measures - they deepened and cleared river beds, created specially protected areas, disposed of household waste and hazardous substances.
6. Altai Territory
One of the favorite places of active tourism abounds in specially protected natural areas - a natural park, a reserve and 35 reserves, as well as more than a hundred natural monuments.
5. Ulyanovsk region
The main environmental problem in the Ulyanovsk region is the multitude of landfills, half of which are unauthorized. In total, 660 hectares are covered with garbage in the region! Regular inspections of legal entities are carried out, fines are imposed, but landfills continue to function. However, not everything is so bad: more than 19 thousand trees have been planted in the region, a number of environmental measures have been taken, and a national park and protected areas of regional significance are being created.
4.Chukotka Autonomous Okrug
The incident with a polar bear, which the builders, for a laugh, slipped an explosive package in the stern and posted it on YouTube, became notorious. The governor of Chukotka appealed to the local authorities with a request to investigate this crime.
3. Belgorod region
The first in Russia program of agricultural biologization is operating in the region, volunteers are planting trees (more than 50 thousand seedlings were planted in total), and fish fry are released into the rivers to restore the livestock.
2. Republic of Altai
The trash disaster in Russia did not escape the Altai Republic either. It was not possible to solve the problem of placement, processing and disposal of solid household waste, which contributes to an increase in the number of unauthorized dumps that do not improve the state of the environment.
1. Tambov region
It has taken the honorable first place in the ranking for the fourth year in a row. The most ecologically clean region of Russia. 1 billion rubles were spent on the state program "Environmental Protection of the Tambov Region", and almost the same amount is spent by regional enterprises that installed and modernized environmental protection equipment.
