Antutu Benchmark Is one of the most popular applications for comparing the technical characteristics of smartphone models. All over the world the number of its users has exceeded 100 million. And every month, a new rating of smartphones from Antutu is published on the application website, where everyone can see which smartphone was recognized as the best.
The criteria are:
- processor power and speed of RAM / external memory;
- the ability of the smartphone to reproduce 2D / 3D graphics;
- Ease of use.
This rating includes the top 15 most powerful smartphones in August 2017.
15. OnePlus 3
Total Antutu score: 149678
Antutu's smartphone performance rating opens with one of the cheapest 5.5-inch smartphones with the Snapdragon 820 chipset. The manufacturer has equipped it with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, which is even more than is required for extreme multitasking. Another advantage of the OnePlus 3 is the 16MP f / 2.0 main camera with OIS and LED flash. In addition, the smartphone can shoot videos in 4K UHD resolution, has an NFC chip and a fingerprint sensor, supports fast battery charging and is enclosed in a durable metal case. All these advantages make the OnePlus 3 a welcome purchase.
Its disadvantages include the lack of a microSD card slot and a 3000 mAh battery capacity, which is not enough for the long-term operation of the Snapdragon 820 processor and the Adreno 530 video accelerator.
14. LeEco Le Pro 3
Total score: 154169
One of the main advantages of the device is a very powerful Snapdragon 821 chip, thanks to which for two or three years you can not worry that your smartphone will not be able to handle new games and heavy applications. As for the amount of RAM and internal memory, it ranges from 4 to 6 GB and from 32 to 128 GB, depending on the configuration. The video accelerator Adreno 530 is responsible for the graphics part.
The quality of the primary 16MP camera is very good even in low light conditions. The main camera has the ability to capture 4K video at 30fps. You can also shoot videos in slow motion at 720p at 120fps.
The flagship from the LeEco brand carries a 4070 mAh battery on board, which puts it on a par with smartphones with the most powerful battery.
But there is no microSD card slot in the device, although you can connect an external flash drive using USB OTG.
13. Lenovo ZUK Z2151
Total score: 156,221
This 5.5-inch smartphone features a high-performance Snapdragon 821 quad-core chipset and an Adreno 530 graphics engine that is not prone to overheating (compared to Mali) and supports all the latest mobile graphics and compute APIs.
The main camera has a resolution of 13 MP, and the selfie camera is 8 MP. The device is powered by a 3100 mAh rechargeable battery.
This smartphone has 4GB of RAM for multitasking support and 32GB of internal storage for photos, videos, music, movies and applications. In addition, you can expand the phone memory using a memory card.
12. OnePlus 3T
Total score: 158057
This 5.5-inch smartphone has excellent 3D performance. And it is not surprising, because inside it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor and the latest Adreno 530 video accelerator. Any games available in the Google Play Store will run on such a device without lags and overheating.
The smartphone has 6GB of RAM for multitasking. The earlier version of the OnePlus 3 had memory problems, but this model is free from such shortcomings.
Like OnePlus, the 3T model has a 16MP main camera with OIS and can record video at 2160p, or 4K. Slow motion video is available in 720p resolution at 120 frames per second.
The battery capacity has been increased to 3400 mAh (from 3000 mAh), which guarantees the device up to two days of operation without recharging.
There is no memory expansion slot. But if you can afford the 128GB internal storage option, then that won't be a problem.
11. iPhone 7
Total score: 158143
The super popular, prestigious, waterproof 4.7-inch smartphone from Apple was only on the 11th line of the rating, since it does not have brilliant performance in 3D graphics. The total score there was 43969, while the nearest "neighbor" OnePlus 3T - 61960.
But on the other hand, in terms of processor performance, memory and usability, the iPhone 7 has good results.
Its iOS 10 has a range of apps and features not available for older iPhones. But the iPhone 7 itself can run almost any application ever built for the iOS platform.
The device has an A10 Fusion chip with four cores: two with increased performance and two with low power consumption, which use less battery power during everyday tasks.
Apple says the combination of a larger battery that fills up some of the space previously occupied by the headphone jack, an energy efficient processor, and improvements to iOS 10 allows the iPhone 7 to run two hours more than the iPhone 6S.
The iPhone 7 also has a 12MP f / 1.8 aperture camera that rivals mid-range DSLRs in terms of image and video quality.
Many users are unhappy that the headphone jack has disappeared in the seventh version. There is no memory card slot either. And in appearance, the smartphone is no different from the iPhone 6.
10.Samsung Galaxy S8 (G950U1)
Total score: 164033
Since there are as many as four Galaxy smartphones in the ranking of smartphones in different modifications, we will describe in more detail what an S8 is, what an S8 + is and how the modifications are not similar to each other.
The plus version of the Samsung Galaxy S8 differs from the usual one much less than the earlier S7 from the S7 Edge. The two main and main differences are the screen diagonal (the usual 5.8 inches, the plus one - 6.2) and the size of the battery (the plus one is 500 mAh more). Otherwise, they are almost completely identical to each other (provided that the modifications coincide, of course).
Both smartphones have an original futuristic design with a bezel-less screen with rounded edges that instantly attracts attention. OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.2 inches and a resolution of 2960x1440 detects up to 10 touches simultaneously, there is an anti-glare plus an olephobic coating.
The main 12MP camera and the f / 1.7 aperture lens is considered one of the best among smartphones. And the octa-core processor and high-performance video accelerator ensure that the smartphone can play anything, including games, freely.
True, the Galaxy S8 has its drawbacks, and one of them is its lackluster sound.
The S8 G950U1, ranked tenth in the Antutu smartphone ranking, is intended for the American market. The processor is Snapdragon 835, and the video adapter is Adreno 540.
9. iPhone 7 Plus
Total score: 167891
Perhaps the fans of the apple company will not agree that the next brainchild of their beloved company took only ninth place in the 2017 Antutu Benchmark smartphone ranking. If, in terms of processor power, the iPhone 7 Plus is the undisputed leader (the maximum score is in the top ten), then in terms of the speed of 3D graphics playback), the number of points in the top 10 is minimal. Technical Brief: 5.5-inch display, Apple's first-ever A10 Fusion quad-core SoC with PowerVR GT7600 integrated GPU, 2 cameras and 32GB to 128GB non-expandable memory.
8. Sony Xperia XZ Premium G8141
Total score: 168336
A very good 4K display, calibrated to incredible clarity, excellent sound, high performance (Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 video adapter, 4GB RAM) - all this makes the Sony Xperia XZ Premium G8141 one of the best and most powerful smartphones of 2017. One of the best selfie cameras can be added to the list of advantages.
The problems with Sony Xperia are mainly with autonomy (for example, when watching a video, the charge will last for four hours at most) and the camera - at night the quality of shooting is frankly poor.
7.Samsung Galaxy S8 + (G9550)
Total score: 170487
The version of the Samsung Galaxy S8 +, shipped to China, is equipped with slots for two SIM cards, a Snapdragon 835 processor, and its video adapter is Adreno 540. As for the memory, the G9550 comes in two variants - either 64 and 4 GB, or 128 and 6 GB of built-in and operational, respectively.
6. Mi 6
Total score: 172,075
One of best and powerful Chinese smartphones, the next flagship from Xiaomi continues to delight both in quality and performance, and in price. It is now made of steel instead of aluminum like the Mi 5 version and is slightly heavier.
A 5.15-inch display with 4k resolution, an eight-core Snapdragon 835 chip, an Adreno 540 graphics adapter, 6 GB of RAM and 64 (or 128) GB of flash memory - all this ensures that even the heaviest toy on a smartphone will fly. At the same time, a rather large 3350 mAh battery suggests that you can play for a long time.
Traditionally, the Mi 6, like other Xiaomi flagships, does not shine with quality only the camera.
5.Samsung Galaxy S8 (G950F)
Total score: 172610
And this modification of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is intended for the European market and practically does not differ from the American one, with the exception of the processor (here it is Exynos 8895 Octa) and the video adapter (Mali-G71 MP20). Also, the coral color of the "cover" of the American version was replaced with pink European, but this hardly affected the performance.
4.Samsung Galaxy S8 + (G955F)
Total score: 172711
The most productive of all S8 + modifications is the SM-G955F, supplied to the European market. It is designed for one SIM card, Exynos 8895 Octa processor, Mali-G71 MP20 video adapter. Storage: 64GB flash, 4GB for embedded applications.
Despite the manufacturer's assurances that both processors and video adapters are similar to each other, the Antutu benchmark and the smartphone rating compiled on its basis clearly show the superiority of the Exynos 8895 Octa and the Mali-G71 MP20 graphics accelerator over the Snapdragon 835 and the Adreno 540 video chip.
3. Nubia Z17
Total score: 177122
Another smartphone based on the latest achievement in processor design - SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, and the amount of RAM in the maximum configuration in Nubia is a record - 8 GB (with 128 GB built-in). Obviously, only a problem with branded skins prevented Nubia from gaining the maximum number of points - they start to slow down at the most inopportune moment.
2. HTC U11
Total score: 179883
The processor from HTC is the well-proven eight-core Snapdragon 835, and the graphics adapter is Adreno 540. The amount of memory does not differ much from the other smartphones in the rating - 6 GB of RAM, 64 (or 128) GB of built-in. Everything else is also at its best - from the color rendition of the display to the camera, one of best among other smartphones... HTC U11 scored uniformly high scores in all categories, only slightly behind the leader in performance.
1. OnePlus 5
Total score: 181042
The "flagship killer" strikes again - a new smartphone from the Chinese company OnePlus is a worthy competitor to more popular brands (although, unfortunately, the price level is already starting to approach them). A 5.5-inch screen with 4K resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 835 chipset, an Adreno 540 video adapter, 6 GB of RAM and 64 built-in memory - you can immediately see that in terms of hardware, the smartphone “keeps its nose downwind”. The smartphone will pull heavy games and 100,500 open tabs in the browser. At the same time, it heats up a little more than the temperature of a human body. The autonomy of the device is also great, and you can watch a video on it for at least 15 hours. In general, OnePlus 5 bears the title of the most powerful smartphone of 2017 with dignity.
