10 laws coming into force on 1.01.2018 in Russia

New Year's fireworks have died down, Olivier has been finished. The country has moved into a new year 2018. What is he preparing for ordinary Russians, what new initiatives of the government will improve (or worsen) our daily life? We present you the top 10 bills that came into force on January 1, 2018.

10. Tax breaks will simplify

From January of this year, it will be easier for Russian citizens to receive benefits for the following types of tax payments:

  • transport;
  • land;
  • on the property of individuals.

Now the tax authorities will not require citizens to provide documents confirming the right to receive benefits. It will only be necessary to fill out an application in which to indicate the details of the title document.

And the employees of the tax service themselves will request the necessary information from the relevant organizations and authorities.

9. For the first child will be paid more

Good news awaits people who are expecting the birth of their first child in 2018. They will be paid a fairly large amount every month (and until the child reaches the age of 1.5 years).

The average monthly allowance in Russia will be 10.5 thousand rubles.

However, this will not affect all families in which the first-born were born, but only those whose per capita income is less than 1.5 times the subsistence level per child. This minimum is set at the regional level.

8. Alcoholic energy drinks are prohibited

From January 1, a ban on the production and sale of low-alcohol drinks comes into effect, which contain tonic substances (usually caffeine and taurine) and less than 15% ethyl alcohol.

There is an exception to this rule: it is possible to produce low-alcohol products for export.

Until now, alcoholic energy drinks have been very popular with young people. For a while, they allow you to increase efficiency, give vigor and banish sleep. However, when consumed frequently, these beverages can lead to serious health problems. They cause arrhythmias, increase the risk of diabetes and obesity, and promote adolescent alcoholism.

7. It will be possible to be treated remotely

A law has come into force allowing a patient to receive treatment over the Internet. No, not by searching for symptoms on Google. Medical assistance can be provided through remote consultations of doctors and online consultations between a doctor and a patient. In this case, the doctor can remotely monitor the patient's health.

However, there is an important nuance: such online treatment is possible only when the patient comes to the doctor in person at the first appointment.

6. Many excisable goods will rise in price

In 2018, the tax burden on a number of excisable goods will increase. These include:

  • petrol;
  • diesel fuel;
  • passenger cars (from 90 to 150 HP);
  • cars and motorcycles more powerful than 150 HP;
  • electronic cigarettes;
  • cigarettes and cigarettes;
  • cigars;
  • cigarillos;
  • tobacco (all types);
  • heating tobacco.

For ordinary Russians, these changes mean that all these goods will inevitably rise in price. So, a pack of ordinary cigarettes will cost about a hundred rubles.

A liter of fuel will rise in price by about 1 ruble 18 kopecks. Experts predict that this year the prices for automobile fuel may reach (or even exceed) 50 rubles per liter.

Cars with powerful engines will rise in price, on average, by one hundred thousand rubles.

5. A new sign will appear on the roads

From January 2018, a new concept "Zone of calm traffic" will appear in the traffic rules. A special sign will be installed at the entrance to such a zone. When driving in such a place, the speed of the car should not exceed 20 km / h, and it will not be possible to overtake. And pedestrians will be able to cross the roadway not only on the "zebra", but wherever they wish.

It is not yet known where exactly the "Zones of Calm Movement" will appear and what they will be needed for. Perhaps these will be the historical centers of large cities, as well as former industrial zones.

4. The size of pensions and salaries will increase

In 2018, the government found funds so that retirees and public sector workers had to "hold on" less desperately.

Retired and non-working citizens from January 1 will receive 500 rubles (3.7%) more than in 2017. This indexation will affect about 40 million Russians.

Public sector salaries will increase by 4%.

But working pensioners should not expect an increase in their pension in 2018.

3. Maternity capital will remain

The third place in the ranking of the most important laws and amendments that came into force in 2018 is occupied by two news about maternity capital at once: good and bad.

Good at first: maternity capital will be extended until 2021.

And now it's bad: this year its indexation will be frozen.

There is one more important change concerning the mother capital: a certain amount of it can be received monthly. You must submit an application to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.

2. The fine for toning will increase

Those who like to drive in tightly toned cars will be fined more severely in 2018. For the first time, the fine will be 1,500 rubles. If the violator does not correct himself and does not remove the tint, then he will be fined already 5 thousand rubles (previously the amount of the fine reached 500 rubles).

To drive without problems, you need to remember: the light transmittance of the glass in the car must be at least 75% for the windshield and at least 70% for the front windows.

1. Anonymous use of messengers is prohibited

From January 1, amendments to the law "On information, information technologies and information protection" come into force. According to them, all Internet users will have to indicate their phone number when registering in applications designed for instant messaging.

This is done in order to combat illegal content, spam and counter terrorism.

Now the Russians will not be able to link the account of such a service to a faceless email address. And given that mobile operators have passport data of SIM card holders, they can (and will) transfer them to law enforcement officers upon request.

This law applies to instant messengers registered in the Russian Federation in the appropriate status.

Individuals who violate the new law will be fined up to 5 thousand rubles, officials - from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles, and legal entities - from 800 thousand to one million rubles.
