Every year the Russian edition of Forbes pleases Russians with the calculations who have more money in their wallet. And although the top 200 richest people in Russia are predominantly men, there are still women in Russian villages - and the galloping horse will be stopped, and green pieces of paper will be shoveled.
And on the basis of Forbes materials, we have compiled a list of the richest women in Russia in 2019, taking into account both their personal condition and the amount of revenue of the companies they lead.
10. Tatiana Volodina
Company revenue: 82.5 billion rubles
The top ten richest women in Russia are opened by Tatyana Volodina, the sole ruler of the Alkor and Co company, which is better known to the female population of Russia as L'Etoile.
According to statistics, this is the largest personal care retail chain in Russia. It includes over 900 points of sale selling perfumes and cosmetics throughout the country.
Tatiana has extensive experience in promoting beauty products. Once upon a time, she established the supply of the Clinique brand to Russia, and so well that in just a couple of years the products of this brand entered the top five best-selling cosmetic products. A couple of years later, she pulled the same trick with Shiseido, and with the same success. And five years after she was elected to the post of general director of L'Etoile, the chain's turnover (already rather big) has tripled.
9. Marina Turyanskaya
Company revenue: 119.8 billion rubles
And we pass from beauty to nutrition. Turyanskaya is the head of the leader in the supply of wheat - the agricultural holding RIF, which last year annexed the Azov "Promexpedition".
Actually, this event opened the way up to Marina, who had previously been in the RIF as a commercial director. In just a year, RIF, under her strict guidance, increased its revenue by 70%.
8. Ksenia Sosnina
Company revenue: 155.7 billion rubles
The Ilim company, run by Ksenia, has a long and glorious tradition. At the very beginning of perestroika, the then-future president of Russia himself honored her with his attention! True, not this one, but another - Medvedev.
Now half of the company's shares are in the hands of the ideological enemy - the Americans, namely the International Paper association. It was this fact that gave Ksenia the opportunity to sit in the chair of the general director, since before her appointment she worked in the Russian division of this company.
7. Natalia Eremina
Company revenue: 174 billion rubles
Natalia has gone all the way to the CEO's chair, as they say, from scratch. At the beginning of this millennium, she began working in the ferrous metallurgical company OMK as a watchman of watchmen - that is, a manager who monitors the performance of other managers. And she did it so successfully that in 2017 she was put in charge of the entire company as a whole.
However, now the manufacturer of pipes and wheels is not doing brilliantly: because of the crisis, large construction projects are not expected on the horizon, there is no one to sell its products. Therefore, the giant corporation ship has set off into dangerous waters and is about to try his hand at a new industry.
6. Marina Sedykh
Revenue of her company: 192.6 billion rubles
In the middle of the list of the 10 richest women in Russia, according to Forbes, is the only woman who has managed to catch hold of the oil business. True, for this she had to found an oil company herself.
Since then, the river of black gold flowing through the Irkutsk Oil Company headed by Sedykh has brought her honor, respect and capital. In 2018, her fortune was estimated at $ 350 million. INK workers are crushing strata of gloomy rocks in Siberia and the Far North, from Krasnoyarsk to Yakutsk, and the company's geologists have already found 12 oil fields.
In addition to pumping oil, Marina and her company have a plant for processing hydrocarbons and converting them into polyethylene.
5. Svetlana Vinogradova
Company revenue: 229.7 billion rubles
Like the seventh place in the rating, Natalia Eremina, Svetlana had to go up from the bottom. She has been working for almost a quarter of a century in the same company - the Rolf car sales center.
She started as an ordinary engineer, and then moved on to managerial positions - she headed one of the departments of the automobile giant, then she was in charge of sales in the regions. And in 2017 she became the CEO.
True, Vinogradova's ascent to the throne of the automobile concern was overshadowed by a scandal. A number of members of the former management and the founder of the company were suspected of secretly transferring an amount of several billion rubles abroad. However, according to the press service of Rolf, the company continues to work, as it did before the scandal. And it still remains the largest car seller in the country.
4. Olga Belyavtseva
Cost: $ 550 million
Fruit juices and purees under the brands "Ya", "Fruktovy Sad" and "Frutonyanya" are known to most Russians, thanks to an active advertising campaign.
All these products were developed at Olga's enterprise - the Lebedyansky concern. In many ways, the company's success is based on the fact that Olga tried to reach all segments of the population, producing goods of different price categories. Then Belyavtseva successfully sold the promoted Lebedyanskiy to her American comrades - Pepsi.
However, she did not want to rest on capital successfully and from the facilities left after the sale of capacities she created a new enterprise, this time for the production of baby food. A dozen years after its creation, it has become the undisputed leader in the natural baby food market in Russia. It is interesting, by the way, that a third of a century ago, she began as a simple packer at a cannery.
3. Elena Rybolovleva
Cost: $ 600 million
In the third place in the ranking of the richest women in Russia in 2019, Elena was not due to the presence of "factories, newspapers, steamers." She became the owner of $ 600 million thanks to a supremely successful divorce process.
Since 1987, a graduate of the Perm Medical Institute has been running a joint farm with Dmitry Rybolovtsev, number 17 in the list of 200 richest entrepreneurs in Russia according to Forbes, for almost a quarter of a century. And then it turned out that her husband was cheating on her. A long divorce process began, which ended in the summer of 2015. The parties with the models cost Dmitry $ 604 million and two houses in Geneva.
2. Tatiana Bakalchuk
Cost: $ 1 billion
And here is the rising star of the rating - Bakalchuk appeared on the Forbes list just a year ago.
True, Forbes experts note that the financial data on the Wildberries company it manages is open only to a select few, so they had to make assumptions. They were guided by sales volume, profit, as well as the experience of similar companies abroad. And last year Wildberries made $ 1.7 billion.
Did Tatiana think that this would be the result of the company she founded 15 years ago? Over the past years, "Forest Berries" (as the name of the company is translated from English) not only blossomed and began to bear fruit, but in addition to clothing began to sell food, books, household appliances - in general, almost everything that is in demand.
Wildberries' impressive profits have automatically elevated the business owner to the top ten billionaires.Bakalchuk is already breathing in the back of his head the first place, who has been permanently on the money Olympus for more than six years. Will the online supermarket beat the hotel business? We'll find out next year.
1. Elena Baturina
Cost: $ 1.2 billion
For several years in a row, Elena Baturina remains the richest woman in Russia. For many years there were rumors that the main reason for her condition was her marriage to the former mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov.
This opinion is supported by the fact that when Luzhkov was removed from office in 2010 (“due to the loss of confidence”), Elena had 2.9 billion dollars in her pocket. And this year there are "only" 1.2 billion.
True, she spends money left and right - she will help young designers, she will arrange a festival, then she will buy collectible porcelain. Or maybe Elena was crippled by a litigation with her brother. He was convicted of manipulating bills of exchange for her own company, of which he was vice president.
However, Elena is still full of energy, with might and main is engaged in hotels in Russia, Eastern Europe and Ireland. And she even increased her fortune - since 2018 it has increased by 200 million dollars.
