9. The Magnificent Seven (1960)
Genre: adventure, western
Kinopoisk rating: 7.7
IMDb rating: 7.7
Country: USA
Producer: John Sturges

One of the most famous and popular westerns is based on Akira Kurosawa's classic film "Seven Samurai".
The film became a hit with memorable music and celebrities such as Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen as mercenaries tasked with rescuing peasants from a local gang. However, John Sturges did not include in his film the scene of the murder of a captive bandit by peasants, as was the case in Seven Samurai.
It is interesting that the filmmakers did not think long about the composition, which ultimately predetermined the popularity of the "Magnificent Seven". They were in a hurry to complete the casting before the next acting strike began.
In 2016, a remake of The Magnificent Seven was released, featuring actors of different races and nationalities. However, he did not achieve the success of the original, gaining 6.6 points on Kinopoisk and 6.9 points on IMDb.

In The Unforgiven, Eastwood played a former villain and now a respectable loser farmer who, for the sake of his hungry children, agrees to a dubious business. 6. The Man from Boulevard des Capucines (1987)
Genre: comedy, western
Kinopoisk rating: 8
IMDb rating: 7.8

A lot of westerns were filmed in the USSR. Some of the most famous are Chingachguk - Big Snake, Falcon's Trail, St. John's Wort.
But the highest rating from the audience was given to a light and cheerful Western, in which the main characters were performed by such popularly beloved actors as Andrei Mironov, Oleg Tabakov, Mikhail Boyarsky, Nikolai Karachentsov, Alexandra Yakovleva, and others.
Alla Surikova and the film crew were very careful to recreate the atmosphere of real Westerns. The harness for the horses was borrowed from a Czech film studio, the hats were sewn specifically for the film, and they even got hold of stools made of very light Ecuadorian wood that could be effectively hit on the head. As a result, one of the prizes that went to "The Man from Boulevard des Capucines" was with the wording "For a reliable portrayal of the Wild West in the wild conditions of Soviet filmmaking."
The story of the introduction of violent cowboys and harsh Indians of the Wild West to the mystery of cinema was the last role of Andrei Mironov, who managed to see the picture at an unofficial screening, but did not live to see the premiere.

If there was only one western that accurately represented the entire genre, it would surely be Sergio Leone's classic The Good, the Bad, the Ugly.
This spaghetti western was the final chord in the so-called "Dollar Trilogy". Each new part of it was replenished with a new main character. That is, in the first part of "For a Fistful of Dollars" the hero Clint Eastwood was alone, in the second ("A Few Dollars More") Colonel Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef) joined him, and in "Good, Bad, Evil" there are already three main hero.
The Silent Wanderer, played by Clint Eastwood, reluctantly joins forces with two other adventurers (played by Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef). The Trinity sets out in search of buried gold in the midst of the American Civil War. The legendary Western film is also known for its unique musical theme created by Ennio Morricone.
train to yumu strong movie !!!
Wow!
neither "Stagecoach" (in accordance with the previous remark), nor "Western Union" Lang
but people. from the Boulevard des Capuchins!
this rating was compiled by an incompetent author, and even fixated on Soviet nonsense
Clint Eastwood is just macho in his roles! it's amazing how he exactly fell into the stream of the characters of his characters! that's about whom you can definitely say psychologically reliable portraits of his characters!
It’s not worth a Western rating that doesn’t include the best movie in the genre, Ford's Stagecoach.
